it is getting harder to find one that you can walk through anymore tho. most of them around where im at are all computer operated. you have to stay out front and they go pick your parts. i shouldve grown up in the 50's.
thats just the way the ball bounces sometimes. my driveway is virtually impossible to get out of when we get more than a couple inches of snow. seems like ive had that much since christmas. my truck is almost worthless in 2wd, empty anyway. if i load it down it does ok, crew cab dually just have...
you know how to "rig" it to have 4x4 if you really need it? remove the actuator and install something a little bit smaller diameter (lug nut or two) then reinstall the actuator. it will push the pin into place giving you 4x4, but it will be full time lock in, kinda like a straight axle with...
what really sux, that was the last thing i had "to fix" before i started doing my up grades and add ons. before i lost the engine from oil line working loose and loosing a rod. i was that close =
well dang, i guess when i find out i will let you know. i do know of a buddy that had the same issue, he had another guy wire up a bunch of relays and a couple toggle switches and stuff but i want to avoid that, i dont want to stray from factory on that, unless absolutely the last resort...
ok since there appears to be so much more knowledge over here, has anyone delt with the 4x4 actuator issue with these trucks? everytime i lock my truck in 4x4 it blows a fuze, i replaced the actuator inside the front diffrerential, $120 and it still blows a fuze, i checked the wiring as good as...
not trying to step on toes or anything but i just had my 94 6.5t blow the engine because the oil line on the drivers side came off, that engine with even descent oil pressure empties very quick. personally i would take any measure to ensure it wont blow out cold or hot.
ok guys got a ton of info, not i have to go get the engine. i am possitive the engine is out of a truck. hopefully it is still a good one. it got wrecked in the side/rear so he said it still ran good just couldnt drive the truck. i will let everybody know how it is going and how it works out...
i am super impressed so far i was over there for a while and never got many replies. but ace is here so im good, he was my main source of info over there. i think i will like it here. mike did help me alot too though. oh well new day.
it was alittle difficult at first but, im gettin the hang of it. married for 15 years to being mr. dad. hey its cool he helps me alot, and he is going to steal my truck when he turnd 16 so. he is learning about it with me.
ok you have to be patient with me this is my first diesel. now if the 95 6.5 n/a is mechanical, can i swap all of my electric over? ip, pmd, etc...? i have a brand new relocated pmd and heat sinc only been ran for 1 week. if i can basically swap everything from my 94 onto the 95 "long block it...
unfortunately! he seems very knowledgable. i just have "the luck" in common with him. oh well im too old to cry, just gotta keep pluggin away. i picked up a side job yesterday restoring a 68 RUSTang so that can fund my truck now.
thanks ace, i heard you were here. i guess you saw i blew her up. almost it still runs but i dont dare try, block is still good so i can go through it later.
