Well i guess after reading some more I can even use a Powertrax locker becasue I dont have an open face design without clutch packs. This is getting to be a pain in the ass fix.

Well its got fresh oil and the truck is back on the street....so hopefully the magnet got most of the pieces. I am going to chance the metal pieces for now, and just need to find info on fixing the broken piece.

There was no rubber band on Kennedy's....and I didn't transfer it from the OEM one either

On the Original Clutch there was an oil spot. You can see were it is leaking out through the small hole above were the fins come to a V (below the flat part of the spring). Click on Picture to enlarge

Okay The 190 Seems to be working properly. It looks like the oem stat.... The one that buddy recommended did not work well, it was going up to 210F, and was supposed to be 195....Maybe It was for a dual stat setup (I don't Know). I'm Thinking that if I found a 195F stat that is similar to...

I ordered a 190 From Kennedy.....should be here today. Well see how this one goes.

Also just got off Phone with OEHQ who said Something like line 12 (12T45E) is other manufacturer for AC DELCO.... I was just trying to get the one BuddY had referenced and said was good....I guess Ill try and get a 190 from robertshaw.

Oh It came in a AcDelco Box.....I have another one on the way...so I will see if the stat is the same.

I used the ACDELCO 12T45E which is apparently made by motorad. ( I called mototrad and asked if they made the tstat as It didn't have any hint of GM on it, and they said they make for GM).

Okay Fan, and Clutch Went on without a hitch...and about 1/4 clearance to shroud. Was nice that I didn't have to trim The plastic. Fan seems louder so far and can hear it sucking until it warms up (which is opposite of what you would think would happen). I Cant tell if its engaging at the...

Okay I ordered the Imperial Severe Duty 216013 Clutch. I found it at advance auto parts online for $136 and there were many online coupon codes for them and picked it up for $106 This is the same as the Hayden 2839 (as Brooklyn Tow pointed out, thanx)....let you know all how it goes...

Ok ...So I need to get a 98 Hayden Clutch...as I'm not changing the pump yet....also I might have to trim some plastic...thanx I'll let you know how it went.

So did anyone get the right clutch to fit? I just ordered a 1580690 fan blade ( 9 blade plastic) and have a 6 bolt stock clutch and water pump. I figured after 80k miles it might also be time to change the fan clutch...and I was wondering what worked? Also if/and when my water pump goes...
