We had a few turbo'ed and non-turbo'ed at the mine and they all idled between 650 -700 once they were warm. The '94 we turned up to about 950-1000 cause it would die.
$265 at gm parts direct. Who's you dealer? The only one I dared to take mine to after a few bad experiences at other places was Young Chevy. But now it is out of warranty and will never see a dealer again. From here on out I can fix it myself.
I read them ahead of time but found GM's so called recall # so I was hoping :swordfight:they would fix their screw up. Not likely but I figured I'd try. To save myself high blood pressure I just had them fix it..... My GM bail-out.:D
I have been watching and bidding on a few on ebay, but have yet to win one. But I think the harness has to hook into your radio so that your rear speakers are off when playing a movie.
Oh and I haven't been brave enough to call a dealer and price out the harness.
My truck cut out while driving down I-15 this week. Sounded like a 4bt cummins:eek::shocked:. Pisses me off that GM doesn't fix any of their "KNOWN PROBLEMS!" But oh well it is fixed, officially out of warranty and will never see the dealer shop again as long as I own it.
I got rear ended by a Kia doing about 20 mph the day after Thanksgiving.I always leave my ball in my reciever and it went all the way through the radiator to her fans. She was trying to light a cig.
My intake has been leaking on my 1999 chevy suburban 1500 with a 5.7, so after 2 months of having it parked I decided to tear down the intake. The plenum and every intake port were each covered in carbon. Any thoughts on what is causing this?
If it has had a plow on it I would deffinitly check the front end over and the tranny due to use with a plow. But other than that we have gotten 200k-300k fairly trouble free with ours.
