Here I have the line on Harmonic Balancer 1/2 way between the holes because I don't know where TDC would be, but IP gear pin should be straight up if crank is at TDC. And for some reason it is putting these pictures upside down ggrrrrrrrr
I sure I can get them the same if pump was vertical. But still starts cold like POS and still cannot do "TDC Time Set" or "TDC Learn" engine will stall. I figure the IP timing gear must be out a tooth or two. I have a couple pictures of harmonic balancer mark and IP gear pin position (pin is...
Could be because I turned the pump a fair bit to passengers side. Older snapshots they were equal. I would like to be able to place the crank at TDC using the harmonic balancer line but there is no pointer on my timing cover just two holes where it looks like one could be. If I could even use...
Ok, there is a line on the harmonic balancer, but no reference marks on the timing cover. There is two bolt holes where it looks like there could be a pointer like on a gasser but nothing bolted to it. If I put the line between the two hole I can see the pin on the IP timing gear in the oil...
I have a snapshot attached and what is bugging me is where it says Actual injection pump timing I rotated the pump quite a bit to passenger side and got it down to the 28.95 Deg* (was at 35 Deg * and looking at old snapshots, has alway been high). Is this the same number that is shown in Time...
Well I got the new to me pump in and it is doing the same thing in GMTDScan Tech. I have a snapshot attached and what is bugging me is where it says Actual injection pump timing I rotated the pump quite a bit to passenger side and got it down to the 28.95 Deg* (was at 35 Deg * and looking at...
Looking at the IP in the day time presents a very easy solution which doesn't matter if it is a New Style IP with Old Style PMD or Old Style IP with New Style PMD. The harness on the top of the pump just needs to be swapped from one pump to other. There are two little 1/4 nuts on the fuel...
Well it is no longer an active sale, so there should not be a problem. If there is Mods please delete.

So is the connector on the new IP gold plated too? If so maybe the two different metals - gold on IP connector and NOT gold on the old PMD might fight. I guess worse case scenario is I could get a new style harness and splice it with my old style PMD harness.
Could not have found a better deal and being that close...maybe my luck has changed. So the connector is the only difference between the two PMDs. The internals are the same?
OK I got a smoking good deal on the latest Stanadyne IP, manufacture date on IP id June 7,2011 (six months old) Problem is it came without the PMD which I am thinking, no problem I have a Heath remote mounted kit. WRONG the connector on the DS4 5521 S pump which comes with the latest...
Well, I am back. Does any body have a known good IP for me if needed. If so how much? Let me know because I think that it has almost come to that. Thanks
Sorry guys I was out tonight and just got home. I will take any and all advise from you guys. Brain storming works, sift out the stuff you have tried and the rest usually contains the correct answer somewhere. We all know enough to be dangerous. And Simon, if you have some pumps with issues...
