    fish biting?

replaced PMD, and lift pump. OPS has been replaced, removed sock in tank, and installed inline filter, new rubber hoses, cleaned OS. checked for air bubbles on return line. i may have forgot something...LOL

    fish biting?

yes i did it about an hour ago. and it doesn't come back down to idle smoothly. i have 3.5 psi cruising down the road. i got it started not with alot of cranking, but much more than usual. and don't feel bad, i am a "mechanic" at work all day long, and i am here trying to find out how to fix...

used ohm meter to do a realtime check, and WTS is ok, but a new symptom just reared its head. truck didn't want to start. IP problem?

    fish biting?

i will replace sensor. as far as IP goes i think i will wait just a bit, like buddy said. i'll take a couple of trips, and see how it goes. really i only set codes when i stop at two or thee different spots, and let it sit awhile at each. last time happened at a stop light in town. i have...

    fish biting?

same tank of fuel, as when i took the top off of IP, fuel was clean, and clear. i will replace the temp sensor, it may still be original. does the sensor have its own code? the truck would stumble and fart all day long sometimes, and never set a code. then other times, one small hiccup, and...

    fish biting?

buddy, thank you, resistor seemed to fix stumble. my question is, will that cause my p0251, and p0370 codes? or am i looking at two different problems? we will be taking a 2400 mile round trip this summer, and i don't want to have any trouble on the road with wife, and kids. not with the...

    fish biting?

thanks guys, appreciate the quick responses. the fuel is clear, and no i havn't replaced the coolant temp sensor. but on that note, when it's not hiccuping, or farting, it runs like a champ. and it only does it after it has been run and warmed up well, shut down for an hour or two, and then...

    fish biting?

i cleaned the optic sensor, took it on a trip, and same thing happened. so i am assuming, that a new IP is in order. can i buy an optic sensor, and if so, where can i get it?

    fish biting?

i already cleaned tank, and romoved sock. i put a fuel filter in line, and batteries start truck fine, i don't think they are bad. i cleaned and modified my battery terminals though.

    fish biting?

but i should aso say, that it does not always throw a code.

    fish biting?

does not code immediatly after restart, but cruising down the road usually. but yes, cold start in the morning always runs good. have you fixed yours? if yes, what did you do?

    fish biting?

i'll try the two stroke oil, though i was SUPER impressed with the stanadyne additive. i was setting codes as fast as i could clear them before the additive, but after i added it, codes went away, but hiccups and farts stayed....until now anyway. price between additive and two-cycle are about...

    fish biting?

no, no hard starts, always cracks right off. no veggie, no bio, straight petroleum fuel, with stanadyne additive.

    fish biting?

well, i took the pickup on a small trip last night. what i figured out, is that it is worse after it has warmed up, sits for awhile, and then run again. my best guess iss that when warmed up, and shut down, the OS has a chance to heat soak. when fired again, chugs, and farts. it only gets...

    fish biting?

thanks guys! i do like my 6.5, and i too am a perfectionist. i do have the beginnings of a crossover exhaust leak, and yes, it is driving me nuts. as far as the IP, the more i do, the more it is pointing to IP electronics, and IP replacement. I will clean the OS, and pray for a few more...

    fish biting?

thank you G, it seems that all that i do leads me to either the IP failing, or the electronics on it. cleaning the optic sensor is about $440 dollars cheaper than a reman pump!
