Mine is plumbed in before the IP with a Mr. Gasket gauge from Advance Auto for under Twenty one dollars with the fuel block and 1/4 barbed fittings from Ace Hardware installed for under Thirty dollars! It doesn't look pretty but it does what I need it to! Keith
M1A1 Like the Tank! I put it through it's paces pulling a trailer six days a week all summer long doing lawncare and landscaping, then haul salt and a snow plow in the winter. In the mean time it is in the woods four wheelin' and haulin' firewood!
I "lose" my taillights every winter from plowing snow! The salt eats through the weather pack connection so I just "bypass" the "tee" connector for my trailer lights and hard wire everything directly! I use di-electric grease on all connections then heat shrink wrap so seal out salt and...
Yes, BUT I have NEVER purchased a new vehicle so it would not make a difference to me as EVERYTHING I have ever owned has been at least four years old and out of warranty by the time it has been titled in my name! Four Camaro's,67,69,80,94/ :auto: Two Maverick's,71,75/ :D Two LTD Crown...
Hopefully I won't have any more problems for a while so my next purchase can be a triple gauge pod with egt, boost and trans. temp and a stand alone in cab fuel pressure gauge instead of repair parts!
New Tank, Sending Unit, Fuel Lines from tank to LP,Lift Pump, Fuel Filter and a pressure gauge mounted by the Oil Fill Tube! Fuel pressure with key on is almost 11 psi and running is 7 1/2 psi! The truck runs quieter and pulls better than it did when I bought it in July of 2000! THANK YOU to ALL...
Tonight I pulled the tank and the rusty fuel lines off the truck, tomorrow my new lines from the tank to the LP will be here and so I don't have to drop the tank again I will replace the sending unit too! I have also purchased a fuel pressure gauge to install under the hood before the IP. Thanks...
Docdray, your thumbnails were very small and hard to read and I am NOT computer literate enough to know how to enlarge them or print them! Thank You, Keith
My lines are very rusty except for the ones coming out of the sending unit which are good because they were replaced three years ago! Lines from dealer go from sending unit to front of engine compartment where they look good! I have replaced ALL the rubber fuel lines under the manifold earlier...
Lines are about $200.00 from the Dealer as I have become a REGULAR customer of theirs. They are ordered and one will be here this afternoon and the other tomorrow morning!
I posted a lot of things under the title Problem Still Happening! I have now REPLACED The LP, The PMD, The Fuel Filter and last The Fuel Tank! My tank had a lot of silver flakes of something that looks like the inside lining of the ORIGINAL Fuel Tank so I just bought a new one! I cleaned the...
Went to a customers Carpet Cleaning business and used their air compressor! Removed LP and fuel cap and Blew it out and it is running better BUT I am draining the tank Friday night and removing the tank on Saturday morning and Cleaning the sock and tank by hand! This problem actually started in...
Problem STILL exists! Runs strong for a while when first started in the morning then starts all over again! No light or codes! Not even to operating temperature ! It was around 52 Degrees this morning when I left the house. I pulled and cleaned the tank 3/06 and replaced the sending unit that...
