I can only seem to dig up that it is called their '300 HP turbo' and guys were talking about it on their rigs way back in '05 on the old site.
A member by the name of FNG had it on his rig.
Mikey learned everything he knows from guys like us trying to pound shit into his head....do a search for his username on this and other forums and you will see the same guys trying their best to help the un-helpable...
Swap everything over to the longblock including the timing/waterpump...
Yes, I am aware of those runs. They don't come close to the 300 RWHP that the OP is after....
It looked as though KOJO's numbers were *calculated* from the dyno to be 261 HP at the crank.
Using a HP calculator put my old truck with a GM-4 at a *calculated* 258 HP at the crank and 237 HP...
I thought that that method threw CEL/SES codes....can't remember for sure though...
I liked the idea of having the second relay anyways since I have been in the middle of nowhere in the frigid cold with a malfunctioning OEM GP relay and having the second relay was peace of mind....
If you are looking for reliable, consistent and CHEAP 300 rwhp then the 6.5 is not your friend.
Best numbers on street driven 6.5's seem to be around the 230 rwhp mark (give or take a few ponies).
Bill Heath has a high HP 6.5 and it seems as though chevydiesel does as well. Both trucks...
I used the grey permatex to seal the studs on my old 6.5 as per Todd's advice.
They never leaked at all.....the block fell apart before I could put too many hundreds of thousands of kms on it though....
