There are quite a few of those rolling around here. They are real popular with the potato and onion farmers for hauling the bins to and from the fields. There is a farm with at least a dozen of those just a mile from my house.

That front clamp can be a bit tough. I didn't notice a big change in sound when I changed mine out so maybe you didn't get the front clamp sealed up just right. You should be able to feel around the area with the truck running to see if you can feel exhaust gasses blowing out. I swap mine out...
Nope. At least not if it is the same as my '04. You just need to remove the hanger bracket that comes off the side of the transmission. You should then be able to twist the converter pipe around and take it out toward the front of the truck. Its a tight fit, but it should go.

If you don't have a center console between the seats there is a spot right below the climate controls that works great. Here is a picture of mine:
It is within easy reach, yet far enough out of the way that you aren't kicking it getting in and out of the truck.
