    but would the rear main just start pouring oil like that?it's coming out at about a cup or more a minute.must have rolled it out somehow i guess.

    Start with a center punch and try to hit the center then drill with a left hand drill bit.Sometimes you get lucky and the bit will catch and back the bolt right out.If it does drill all the way in,get a very good quality easy out cause if you break a cheap one off in there you will have pant...

    what style of rear main seal is on a 78 351m engine(1 or 2 piece)? and can it just pop right out and puke oil everywhere? on mine,oil is pouring out between the motor and auto tranny.(motor oil) could it be one of the plugs on the oil ports on the back of the motor? are they screw...

    my dirtymax usually gets 5-10 minutes in summer and 20-30 minutes in the winter before going anywhere.it's something i've just always done.all my 6.5's have been treated the same.

    This is why I'm asking so many questions about this.$100 for the flywheel,WOW.The quote I got from the GM dealer (here in Canada) was $1085 for the clutch and pressure plate,$750 for the flywheel,$850 for the balancer(front,back???) and a $35 "mounting kit".I have a clutch,plate and flywheel out...

    i have also heard that once it has been changed over to a solid flywheel that you have to change the balancer on the front too.is this correct?

    i have a 1993 3500 with a 5 speed in it and the clutch is gone.i read on here somewhere but now can't find it again that someone said they put a solid flywheel off of a 6.2 in place of the dual mass pile of junk that they came with.the question is,does it matter what year of 6.2 it has to be so...
