everyone over on aces thread is saying they woulda already ripped the DB2 out if they saw the problems he was having.
i have the same cold start problems as him plus all i have stated here.
i am getting worried.
mine is doing the same damn thing.
smokes like a bugger when cold started, misses and chugs along till it warms up for a couple minutes.
i don't have a pyro gauge yet to know if it is running hot out that end though.
i just finished installing me diamond eye system today.
i really like it.
hope i get a few years out of it as it will mostly be used in the summer for the farm so not to much salty hwy driving.
i kind of have it running a bit better now by advancing it some.
it just will not go over 3500rpm,it just shakes, misses and smokes.
of course i do realize i shouldn't be revving it that high all the time, but i wanted to see if it had cleared that up too,but nope.
i'm starting to wonder...
ok,cool
thanks ak,i will play with it a little in the morn then and see how it goes.
how will it act if i get it to far advanced?
thought i better ask so i have no surprizes, lol
it's gotta be something simple, and that's probably what it is with my luck.
it is acting like it is starving for fuel.
it wouldn't have anything to do with the diff injectors?
or whatever the diff is in the numbers
things i did today and the issues i have!!!
changed-GP,injectors,fuel filter and put the clear line on return.
got it running and warmed it up.
it idles very nice, can't barely see the motor shimmy it's so smooth.(no missing)
when i get on the throttle is where i am having...
i will try all these little tricks tomorrow too.
gonna do the injectors and GP anyways while i have the down pipe off to put on the new exhaust.
then i can get at that damn broken ground strap down there that i found changing oil the other day too.
ok,so if when it is running and there is fuel coming out of the drain,it means the lift pump is running good enough right?
i think i will prolly change the filter too while i'm at it.
ok,cool
i gotta run to town to borrow a socket in the morn,so i will grab some clear fuel line and give that a try too.
what kind of pressure should the LP be putting out and where should i tie in to check it?
