    h1c exhaust q

Well, I placed an ad on craigslist searching for a 16cm housing. I am not planning on starting my swap til spring, working outside in the winter sucks. I called a local diesel shop and they want $200.00 fo a new housing. Yeeouch!!!! Also, to the guys who have rebuilt their own turbos, how do...

I don't mind fabricating at all, but I would like to keep it as simple as possible.

    h1c exhaust q

If I were to get a tune, which housing would give me the best all around performance? (I would like to get buddys switchable tune with towing, slight performance and economy options.). I am not looking to have an "all out" racing motor, just want to have a bit more power for passing and...

    h1c exhaust q

What size housing would be best? I have read that the 16 and 18cm housings work well. Would this be the case without having a tune and which one would suite my needs best?

    h1c exhaust q

I just picked up an h1c from a 1991 cummins with 160k on it. There is no fore/aft play on the shaft and very little side to side play. It has the 7 vane compressor wheel and 12 vane turbine. It also has the 21cm exhaust housing and I am wondering how this will work on my truck. I don't tow...

I was out of state for 2 months so fuel was a little on the old side. And no I dont have a spare PMD to try. Think that may be the issue?

    Dtc's 41, 53, 63, and 61.

Hey Les. I havent checked pressure but fuel flows from the t-valve good. The truck was running awesome yesterday and today it just started and died. I put a new starter on it Sat. and i had some fuel gelling issues when it was -15f, so i am stumped as to what is wrong.

    Dtc's 41, 53, 63, and 61.

Hey guys, i am having issues with my truck today. It started and ran fine for about 5 min. then it started idling real low and loping with no response to throttle at all. Then it just died and will not restart. I think that i read the codes wrong as the ones in the title dont seem relevant to...

Copper washer stuck at base of injector hole

Maybe try spraying WD-40 or other type of penetrant and let it soak for a while to loosen the carbon buildup. Then get a needle and pick set (like dental cleaning tools) to gently pry around it until it comes out. Just be careful of how much you spray into the injector hole so as not to...

anyone ever take the valve covers off without puling the intake?

I resealed my passenger side valve cover without removing the intake. I removed the a/c compressor and very gently pulled the injection lines up enough to clear the valve cover. Just take your time when reinstalling the valve cover so as not to disturb the sealant. Steve

    Leak advice?

Are you sure it is fuel? Could it be the condensate drain for the a/c system? That is the side that it would come from. Steve

    dtc code 78

That makes sense seeing as how the only time I throw this code I am moshing the gas to merge or pulling a long hill.

    dtc code 78

Tru Dat!! I just got back from a drive after clearing the codes and my truck was back to normal, but I will check on those things in the morning when it gets light out. Sucks not having a shop. Buddy- The vac system is all stock. I normally get no obvious black smoke. Steve

    dtc code 78

Hey all. I went on a little road trip today and while pulling a pretty good hill, my ses popped code 78. It is "turbo wastegate solenoid fault". While I was completing my trip home, my truck felt like it lacked power. I popped this code once before about a year ago while accelerating down an...

Hard to find oil or fuel leak?

I had the same problem, starter was covered with oil with a large puddle on the ground. When I changed my injectors and installed my turbo-back exhaust I resealed the pass. valve cover and no more leaky. Steve

do I have remote door locks

How can I tell if my truck has remote door locks? When I bought it it did not come with a remote. If it does have the receiver, how do I program the remote to work with my truck? Thanks. Steve
