I would be interested in some pics of your set up. Particularly along the side and the rear wheel wells. kind of want to see how the rear tracks in line with the fronts please.
Actually looking at an axle swap, assuming that the spring perches are in the same location and the gear ratio is the same. Although I believe I could swap out the gears if necessary. In theory one could just swap from the brakes out and leave the axle housing w/diff and then swap the axles...
Not really, but I would have to say that is one of the primary reasons. I just don't need the dually, don't tow or haul much of anything that it would benefit me, I had this deal "fall into my lap" and could not pass it up, it's been nice to have but really don't like to have to buy the extra...
Thanks for the replies (and the link). Wife won't let me buy another truck, she says there is enough junk laying around and we do NOT have the money to throw away on it so..... That is why I am trying to find a nice "trade the parts" deal. I have the ability to do the body patching if I have...
Thought I would post here in hopes of "seeing" more traffic.........
I know the drill....(if you want a SRW, sell the dually and go buy a SRW):nono: Don't want to give up all I have done to this one so.........:chillpill:

Sounds like the usual crap to deal with, sorry to hear of the trouble but glad to find you got it fixed(at least the coolant connector) good luck with the wiper! and hope all gets better MERRY CHRISTMAS fella!
and LOVE the little poem you made of it.
rustoleum success
heres my sons truck (my old one) we painted (sprayed on) completely with rustoleum, primer and all. we think it turned out great. never really buffed it out. pics are before anything was done(wet sand, buff anything) the black on the bottom is the liquid bed liner rolled on.
I thought the gear box was adjustable. There is a nut and a screw located on the side/top of the gearbox that adjusts the gear lash, it can be touchy but that's what would try before buying a new one. Just have to loosten the nut and turn the screw in a little at a time but not to tight it can...
