    Question on calculations & formulas. I(amps)=V(voltage)/R(resistance). Most heating elements resistance from what I know are ~1ohm or less therefor 12.6V/1ohm=12.6Amps if it where 2ohms the current draw would be 6.3Amps. Measured my glow plugs all are between 12 & 15 amps. For 14awg wire the...

    Rebuilt glow plug wiring

    After a couple of quick fix's replaced glow plug wiring. High temp 14Awg silicone wiring, fuse blocks (20A fuses) mounted to manual glow plug parallel contactor. Ran out of loom but had enough to do where hard to get to. Passenger side used high temp (2200F) sleaving.

    Sorry no pictures. The thermal bypass valves have been wrapped with insulated tap so not much to see there (didn't want air flow cooling them). One is ~5" from transmission O/P & I/P fittings and the other is below the rad support. Engine runs at 80-85c no load and 90-95c loaded.

    Three stage transmission cooling. Removed radiator trans cooling, have seen damage from loop in rad leaking atifreeze into tranny oil (seperates glue on clutch packs).     Mother of all PMD coolers

    This is my setup since 2007 and no failures, finned heat sink. The one on the left was replaced this year as I gave the original to a friend when his failed. #9 resistor on left & # 5 on right. Dielectric grease in connector. Quick to test if thats the problem.
