I guess the military likes the 6.5 because the mechanical injection motor is easier to address in the field. Plus if exposed to an EMP, as long as you don't shut off the engine it would run until you run out of fuel. Probably why the presidents limo has (not sure it has been built yet) a 6.5...
Nice. Mine had its original 6. 0 to 60 in 4 minutes. It even had beaded seat covers and smelled like old person. Still, I loved and had such greats plans for it.
Slim. I notice you have an 18.1 motor. Does it make a noticable difference running the ATT with lower compression? With 18.1 should you up the boost to make up for the drop in compression? I guess that would take a design change to the ATT since there is no wastegate. What compression would work...
Does a black 86 fire-chicken with a seized V6 count):h. It even has the Knight rider light thingy on the front (bought it like that). Someday i'll get it runnin. Probably after I return from my space shuttle flight to mars:D
You guys are a bit ahead of me. I take from this thread that the ATT is better than the GM-X because...
There is less back-pressure on the exhaust side which allows the cylinder to empty more quickly and completely thus allowing more fresh air in. With the decrease in back pressure there is...
Depends on your truck. Fill in your signature to make it easier for those much smarter than me to answer your questions.
I am no expert but... If you have a manual trans, then you just need to switch to a throttle cable set up instead of the electronic drive by wire set up. I think the duel...
Wow, what a great thread:D. I feel like a moron reading it tho:confused:. Should have paid more attention in school. Well, I think I'm starting to get it. Thanks
I have the same exhaust bk95td. I think it is too quiet. Especially compared to the straight pipe or my old 350 gas with with flowmasters. I would like something in between the volume of the straight pipe and the muffler. I have now. I agree that the turbo makes a major difference. Keeps it...
I run 5w-40 synthetic. Never had a problem. Been told it is better for starts, especially cold starts, because it gets to the top end faster. Doesn't gel like dino? I've read it will hold more particles in suspension for longer meaning less wear from dirt and soot.
