on ssdiesel i believe it is, it says you need to do a td learn when you replace your cps, is that true, or just a suggestion. and if so does it really take 2 hours?

is the pcm the same thing as ecm? i know im stupid and shouldn't have to ask, but anyway

alright, i am having pcm problems, i hsve open circuit 339, not sure about 984 it lasted for about 3-5 sec then dropped off. i didn't check 950 because i wasn't sure, it said B+ is 12 DCV, does that mean to connect it to any 12V source? didn't want to chance anything so it didnt, i know that 339...

i got 22 in mine the two tanks i ran through before the engine went at 167,000 miles

i replaced OPS, injectors, glow plugs, fuel filter, i put the cam at 12 and the IP gear at 6, the timing chain was already set when i got it, international diesel did it, so i couldn't see the crank timing mark, but they told me that it is timed correctly, so if thats right, and ip is right...

yeah i unplugged it, cranked a few times, before i did that it sounded like it was trying to fire, then when it was unplugged it didn't sound like it was trying, tried cranking a few more times ran the codes and all i got was 12, let it flash 4 times just to make sure

i dunno im about to give up and take it to a mechanic, do you know if full coverage insurance covers mechanical faults

yep on the timing marks, fuel shut off works, i took it out today and turned the key on and watched the plunger go up, yeah its on w/ ign on, but i already did the crank sensor, shut off solenoid, glos, got those codes and then cleared them, tried w/ op unplugged and didn't get any codes for...

or maybe the shaft is bad and thats why the op sensor didn't see anything moving or something and not put it in limp mode?

if i do have to replace IP how hard is it to change to mechanical? prob a pain and more $?
