im not sure whats causing it, i cleared codes and it came back. i pulled gp's in both cylinders and they are fine, the engine doesn't knock or make any weird noise. just blows smoke, only run for about 10-15 min total, have to get it timed, but the diesel shop said i need to drive it at least...

i just put in a new ip from pensacola diesel, installed on a reman longblock from international diesel, started up after 20 sec of cranking after never starting with my old bad ip. it blows white smoke and idles rough, but if i hold it steady at about 900 rpm for 30 sec or so it stops blowing...
well i know that mine is electronic but hes got all the stuff to convert, i was just wondering if the 6.2 IP was much different than the 6.5 mechanical ip, i would like to convert anyway, but if i do what about the pcm will it get confused and not let it run, do i have to put the older one in...
