I seen the suggested location for the nozzles to be mounted. Anyone have some pics of theirs installed? It seems I might have to move that plastic wire holder or whatever it is on top of the intake tube?
My gauge goes from 0-1600. I've had it there one day going up hill towing my 5er. My buddy wanted to go past me and I decided no. :D
Regular driving though, on the highway it's around 800 it seems. Towing my 5er I will see 1000 on hills and the odd 1300.
I had a set of stacks on my truck however they were just mounted at the bottom of the box which allowed em to not be as stable as it could. Now though I'm thinking about a single stack and wanted to secure it so it doesn't shake while driving.
Thanks for the info about the stack clamp...
Last year I tried a dyno and it claimed 345hp and 762ft lbs of torque. Not sure how accurate it was but the truck was running 9.08 in the 1/8. The following monday the tranny left me on the side of the road.
Got the tranny built and am now @ 8.6 with a hotter tune and more to go. :)
Best...
Didn't notice any gains in power but even if I did it could be the fact I'm always tinkering with efi live.
My theory, being a former vw tdi owner, is this could happen. I mean they both dump the egr into the intake right so I think the same could occur...
Was going to ask in another thread but decided not to go off topic.
I'd like to see the single stack setups and how they are secured in the box of the truck.
Thanks
Stacks, ran a mbrp cool dual setup, then went to a set of mitre cut 5" stacks, removed those and went to a single mbrp setup. I'm thinking about installing a single 5"er for some upcomming drag races but I don't plan on keepin it in there. I was impressed because my 5er didn't get too sooty...
tyler, have you done any runs with and without the water/meth running?? I have no idea how this will work out on my truck other than some lower egts which is awsome.
Last night after work my buddy showed me his new ford f-350 srw. real nice looking truck. After some time he opened the hood to show me how the engine was under the cab. WOW is all I said. You wouldn't realize it from the start but after the stack of rads it really pushes the engine back.
I'm with ya on that. I've been looking at traction bars the last few days.
Still hope to try hooking at least once this year. No pulls close by so I have to travel down south.
Just ordered a Labonte MotorSports water meth kit for my truck. I think I'll run it from the washer fluid res. Just wondering how hard the install will be?? Anyone running a similar setup?? For anyone running water/meth in general what kind of gains have you gotten??
Thanks
This is the follow up to my thread in regards to tire pressure. http://www.dieseltowingresource.com/showthread.php?t=2288
Went to a local air port for some street legal drags, 1/8 mile. Got there Friday for some test and tune runs. Played with my tire pressure, ended up going down to only...
