ABS cycling at low speed and erratic shifting

I still had problems after cleaning it. Threw codes 68,73 and 85. I had different continuity between the input sensor and out put sensor (compared the reading on each between the leads), so I bought a new sensor. New one reads the same as the input sensor. Truck ran like a champ. It had a...

ABS cycling at low speed and erratic shifting

Tranny ran fine until I hooked the ABS back up. ABS activated at low speed, next upshift cycle, tranny was in 2nd and refused to shift. I unhooked the ABS again. I am going to look for info on testing the VSS input and output (if possible). VSSB would be next suspect? Any insight is...

ABS cycling at low speed and erratic shifting

Ferm wins the prize, as always. I have a 2wd, I pulled the rear output speed sensor on the transmission and it had a build up of metal on the end of the sensor. I cleaned it off and reinstalled it. I did not reconnect the ABS due to time, but will hook that back up soon. I pulled codes as...

ABS cycling at low speed and erratic shifting

Great. I will tear in and look at this. I disconnected the ABS and was running fine for a few days (I am really busy right now, of course). This AM, the truck would not shift 3rd to 4th. Pulled over, turned it off, restarted (immediatly), she shifted fine. Thanks for giving me a place to...

ABS cycling at low speed and erratic shifting

I am experiencing some weird symptoms intermittently. My ABS will cycle at low speed (below 20) and is often combined with erratic shifting (which has gotten worse, but is still intermittent). I can usually clear it all by turning the truck off and restarting. My first thought is grounds/...

Any trick ways to clean the AC evaporator.......................

I did the same as above: pulled the fan and did it through the opening. First dry, then cleaned out the drain hole, then used cleaner and kept a shop vac handy. Made a huge difference. Probably due again his spring. Funny how these trucks want to be pulled apart every few years and loved on.

Any good tips on getting those bleeders free? Pain in the ass and 3 are stuck tight. I was thinking to hit the. With pb blaster before the next attempt. And what preference on tool? Deep socket?

    No start issue

Had fuel. Bad batteries. Rolling again. Old ones had 4 years on they.AZ regulars. I swear it sounded like an almost normal start. So it goes.

    No start issue

I will crack an injector when I get back In town and verify fuel squirt. It just sounds different on cranking. You know it is not going to go, sounds different. Batteries are 5 years old IIRC. Starter unknown, makes sense. Does not really seem SLOW, just not fully there when starting.

    No start issue

Ops is good, lp good. Load check the batteries? Could it be that simple?
  12. chefmike

    No start issue

Nope. And there lies the likely source of the issue, though me thinks there are a few more things happening here. I got one good start after pulling and replacing the fuel pump relay. Clean grounds, source an ac delving ops, and install relays. I need to figure out the ops relay project... I...

    No start issue

I am thinking the first thing I will test is LP during operation. If the OPS is bad, the LP would still run in a 1995 while cranking, correct. S it could be running while cranking, but not from the ops. Tis in combination with a small leaking draining a line? Likely between FFM and ip? Hmmm.

    No start issue

Now my truck is mad... I will be troubleshooting tonight on a no start that began this AM. Ran fine first thing, no staRt at noon... Lift pump is working ( put it in R and it ran fuel) got it startedby priming it like this (just like when changing fuelmfilter). Same at 5pm. Came home and...

New Walbro lift pump 16.5 psi & 50 GPH

So two years almost to the day, the pump is dead. I have been having no trouble with the truck, just put on new tires (went to 235/85 and love them). The truck hiccuped and died leaving out of the driveway tonight (you ever had one of those days the universe seemed aligned against you? yes, it...

    block heaters

My girl hated sub 25 degrees until I got the tune that extended the glow time. Now she will start at those temps without being plugged in. I usually plug in sub 25 when I remember. I have it on a heavy duty timer and loop the cord over my drivers mirror so I remember to unplug. Makes her a...

    Pic's and questions, oh my!

God bless you man! I went to Chevy to get the clip that holds the brake pedal in. The parts guy laughs and says "oh yeah, the bastard clip." Apparently the mechanics love the engineering on that piece of.......... metal as much as we do. Here is to finding the perfect position the first time...
