thats kind of what I thought... I do feel better with the light out, even though I knew I had coolant. The truck is driving better and better as I take care of her.
Thanks for the reassurance that I am crazy!
So my low coolant sensor was not reading for a couple months. I knew I had coolant, so I did not worry (PO put leak stop in system to try to fix leaks, it coated the sensor).
I finally got around to cleaning the probe and off goes the coolant light.
I feel like the truck is running with a...
30, 33... whatever it takes :) slip of the finger.
The az only had an axle socket, which seemed thicker wall. Trying to decide if I should order the OTC socket ($40). Unless one of you wants to drop me one in an envelope!
Anybody used the 33mm axle socket from AZ? I am trying to get the socket local, although I will order it if I have to.
And Rob, did you have a socket with the 7/8 wrench head for the passenger side? The axkle socket does not have the wrench head, so if needed, I would have to grind it in.
My exhaust is cut right at where the soot trap was. I get whistle on acceleration between 1200 and 1800 rpms before it drops under the rumble of the engine.
I am seeing 13mpg pretty regular with all city driving... and everything on my 15 mile commute is up and down. I am hoping to see a jump with new injectors, but am pretty satisfied considering what I am driving. I have not been on the interstate in this beast in awhile to get a full tank read.
any verification on this?
I am going to through a duramax fan on mine to be nice to her when I do the water pump. I am pretty sure the clutch is not functional on mine. Cleaning the rad sure keeps the temps down though!
Hmmmm.... so I should probably get a fuel cap to replace the gas cap the PO put on that I drilled a hole in? I did it to get rid of the vacuum... too late since my 42 gallon tank now holds 32 gallons to to being collapsed.
I am in the market for a new tank.
I saw a picture of it somewhere when I started researching... can't find it now. Guy put it right next to the 4wd shift on cooling fins.
PMD Cable mentions cab intertior on their site.
Only problem is here in GA, the interior might be hotter than the engine compartment in August! ):h
I...
I don't know about my burb... but I am going to buy a can and run it through my snapper riding mower. I tightened the grounds and it worked better. Might as well try this.
Might have to add her to my signature if it works!
