At the end of the day, we all drive bricks
Its quite literally that. Bricks
The fact that we get the mileage we do is a damn miracle in itself, 454 bro gets 10 to the gallon, if not less
I currently have the following:
33 inch tires
3.73 gears
4L60E (overdrive)
Stanadyne lubricant per fill up
4x4 abilities
Don't see how mileage could be suffering under those conditions, if anything, my gear ratio and tire size plus the overdrive should help it (not including the turbo)
Fast idle does work, i just wanted to see how it starts without assistance, it did indeed clear up nicely, which I was glad about. It was 55-60°F in the morning
Woke up amd found new leak points

Don't know what to think, i just hope its safe to drive still, its only ever peaked from the rear main seal, this is entirely new
Calling it a night, arrived at FE Warren AFB (300 miles from my base) currently half full
Odometer reading: 28894
What do yall think of the fuel economy so far? Assuming the fuel tank capacity is 31 gallons.
Well boys,
The trip is on, got the new odometer display on so I can track mileage from the new injectors.
I assume the fuel tank is +30 gallons, not sure what it is, its filled to the brim though
Odometer reading: 286608
Well, im sure you'll all be pleased to hear that i finally got the bracket properly bolted on
The damn but was already on the starter (starter is only one year old), it took me an hour to do it, but, its on there

(If anyone could suggest front dual...
Thats what I was saying, ive reached down there, it'll be difficult to get a rachet in there, was very tight when I tried
454 country bro: dude you'll be fine, you worry about this thing too much, many 6.2s dont have those starter bbrackets and theyre fine, they dont have any reinforced oil...
Checked the Blazer out, all seemed well....we found this though

Yeah....starter is on there firmly though, one of the bolts broke off last year, we put in bolts from another 6.2 in it and its still holding strong, had no idea the starter bracket was...
Well boys, got a trip to Colorado coming up this weekend, will let you know how it goes, if theres anything I should look at/do prior to going this Friday, let me know
Its like 45-60°F in the mornings here, can't possibly be THAT cold?
Id love to plug it in. Unfortunately, I got in trouble for doing so last winter when it was -15°F "ran a cable from my window"
Nope, its only when its cold
Granted, its been very warm here this past week (+85°F), if it does smoke, its very little and dissipates fairly quickly, I guarantee when winter comes (it gets down to -20°F) it'll start to smoke like a damn chimney.
Also. Reminder that when I bought this 1990 K5...
