What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

If you haven't yet, I would augment or upside the cable going to the load center. It's marginally sized - like every other wire in a vehicle. They save a penny and weight, anywhere they can. ., On the alternator, I would get junk yard cables or sometimes order new alternator cables, so I had...

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Yep. If there's ever an issue with the stainless bushings, I'd replace the pins with grade 8 or harder.

    Electronical Fuel Pressure Gauge

Back when we were discussing fuel pressure gauges, I posted a link to the snubbers I ordered. I haven't got them installed yet, so I can't give a referral

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

What will is getting at, is stainless steel sometimes galls on itself and locks up. In which case the bushing would spin in the hinge. I've often paired stainless to grade 8 to avoid galling. There's only one way to find out if this is a concern with the pins and bushings. I'm guessing...

Rings and bearings while I have the engine out?

I think transmission lines would be passenger side. To me the first bracket looks like it's for the engine oil cooler lines. On at least one of my vehicles, there was a bracket for the engine oil cooler lines at or near the front of the engine mount I'm guessing the 2nd bracket goes about...

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Do a continuity test back to the glow plug controller. I think somebody, maybe @Glagulator posted the type of wire and connector needed not terribly long ago. I'm old, so that means in the last 4 years. There are good glow plug wire kits to be bought Depends on your budget and if you...

How do you all get 6.2s to 300K miles

Only buy the ACDELCO 60G glove plugs from a known vendor. I have a friend that cussed 60G glow plugs - I really believe he got some counterfeit. I used to buy them at Autozone. I don't know who sells ACDELCO 60G glow plugs now
