Here is the shop manual with diagrams. I had to upload it to my google drive since the file is too large to post here. the radio section starts on page 254.

That blue wire marked system remote is the one that sends power to turn on the amp. I will see if I can find the schematic for your burb, it should show the wire colors as well.
No not really. our trailblazer has no labels anywhere. I had a hunch it had it along with XM satellite. ran the RPO codes and confirmed it. you can run the vin on some sites online to get the installed options at well or swing by the GM stealership the parts counter can pull the info off...
Oh yeah if your burb has On-Star, you'll also need a module for that too for the speakers to work properly.
One thing I learned about can bus too is when you turn the key to start the engine.... most when you turn to crank it cranks till YOU let go of the key. on a can bus system when you...
Run the RPO codes in the glove box to see if it has the bose system. I think on the older ones there is one wire on the stereo connector that needs power when the stereo is powered up for the amp to work if it has one. The stereo should send the power out from that wire into the harness, works...
I spent most of the day tinkering with the 93 truck chasing electrical issues. the last couple if weeks driving it before getting the 95 going the battery meter in the cab had been acting strange. voltage would be up in the 13's until the gear vendor overdrive kicked in, then the voltage would...
are you planning to make your own gasket? if you can remove the two studs from the intake, lay a piece of printer paper over the opening and run your finger pressing on the edges firmly to create impressions in the paper. then pull the paper and cut it out using a razor knife to make you a...
if the fitting sizes are the same for both, I really don't think it matters which direction the flow is through the oil cooler. are you installing a new cooler or re-using your existing one?
others will chime in soon to say the correct flow.
does your burb have factory bose system? if so, the only speakers that are not powered by the bose system are the front tweeters. Be thankful that you don't have Can Bus on that burb.. having can bus which started in the early to mid 2000's means there are no "power" or "ground" wires in...
I'm with you on that. the less electronics the better! Its hard to find someone that knows the old school ways now a days, especially in a machine shop. I actually prefer for gas vehicles the old points and carburetors over any electronics. some electronics are nice for creature...
I had ordered the liquid line that goes between the condenser and evap for my 95 but to my surprise I goofed and ordered one that was made for dual front and rear units. it was only $16, but it's not gonna work unless I can figure out how to plug off the extra line port. it also has...
Ok this is starting to make sens now, I was thinking the truck was going to be a daily driver with "occasional" HD hauling. don't quote me on this, but iirc the 4l80 and 4l60's are electrically the same for the most part, but parts are not interchangeable between the two. connecting the...
If I understood the layout on the page you posted, the box your looking for is on the inside of the steel where the silver box in the pic above is on the outside. I don't think you can see or get at it with the column in place. it's buried way up in there!
is there a reason your wanting to go from a 4l60 to a 4l80? if the trans is slipping, your best bet is to have it rebuilt and while your at it have it "Built" for torque and HP's the cost of doing the swap, controller or modding the ECM, modding the drive shaft and transfer case is about the...
has it ever in a previous ownership had any audio or alarm installed or removed? does the drivers door button or rear button actuate the rear door actuator? GM's wiring is funny. if there is a issue at ether switch that can cause it not to function. other than that, I would probe a test...
I was just looking into them. they are a type of flow restriction device. some are adjustable, some are not. but they simply restrict flow so the spike is not seen on the gauge.
do you have the high pressure fan switch installed in the back of the compressor (R4 compressor)? I forget if yours has that style compressor or the one similar to a sanden. iirc on our trucks, one of the high pressure switches need to be swapped out to one that is designed for a electric...
I don't think many folks think much about the acidity concentration in their batteries. I think the reason why they say to just top off with distilled water is for when the water evaporates, the acidity will increase. I have in the past brought some old batteries back to life by giving the...
Be nice if they also had a collar with a grease zerk in the center that would fit in the middle free floating on the pin but fit snug from top to bottom. that would help keep the pin to bushings greased.
I do recall someone made a bushing kit that was greaseable with a zerk at one time.
Does the snubber go inline on the supply to the engine or just to the gauge sending unit? from all the pressure spikes I would think it needs one inline to the engine.
