alot of tuners dont have the capability of erasing tcm codes. they erase the cel only. the tcm will not send a signal to the ecm for the cel for this code. the cel came from the u0101 code. that code is a loss of communication with the tcm from the ecm, the 0880 code is a tcm loss of power...
steve, it is still not justified in spending that kinda money to lower drive pressures by 4psi. i will concede that on a tuned truck the pressures are much higher do to the amount of heat produced on full throttle runs, but you havent provided numbers to see what effect the down pipe plus...
your absolutely correct. dont get frustrated, nothing you can do about it. the system was designed correctly at the factory. it works fine, there is little things you can do to make it more efficient that you have already done.
now for big power, your going to need alot more, to invest in...
how did you go from disagreeing with me to agreeing with me:D. that is my point exactly, even 400 bucks its not worth it from a power increase pov. for other purposes 400 is justifiable though. never 700.
those numbers mean absolutely nothing to me. i might be just a tad crazy in saying this, buttttttttttttt i am fairly certain your NOT using the oem turbo in that truck. i am not knockin the performance your getting out of your truck, it is very impressive, but to ever think of reaching those...
mine is just sittin. cant seem to do anything to get snow. i am ready to make a sacrifice to the gods above:D. cant pay the bills on obamas hope and change.
anyway i got a screamin deal on a 8ft fisher with wings this year. its a mm2 and only 3 years old. mint shape.
not bustin balls, but show me some dyno numbers on an otherwise stock truck to support that theory. and justify 700 bucks. the diamond eye pipe is about as big as a dmax will hold without major modification and most every report is it helps temps, but doesnt really effect power until upper rpms...
i honestly dont see it making much of a power gain to justify 700 dollars. you could buy efi live for that and get a butt load more power even on the stock exhaust then with the down pipe.
i would not waste the money to do the headstuds if you dont plan on taking the power to high. it is definitely not a clamping issue or a head bolt stretch issue. they are very pricey and dont offer mush in the way of protection. until you decide to run monster turbos and big timing numbers...
