I recently did a 1500 that had a broken line. I bled them every which way and never got a good pedal. I drove it did abs stops and did the abs bleed also. Never got a good pedal. Finally we have a flushing machine here at the shop so I used it and finally got a good pedal. I think I went through...
According to the diagrams I have the headlamp system is only controlled on/off via the bcm grounding the relay. The relay in the diagram is called hdlp/hid. The gmc sierra denali is using the same diagrams as the sierra and silverado. Maybe they have plans for future changes.
I would really be shocked to see this being the issue on your truck. It is relatively clean and low miles. Plus it was not to common on the newer trucks. iirc your year had a redesigned sensor in it. Thats not to say it can't be though. How is the 2nd to 1st down shift? Does it feel normal and...
Here it is, the only catch is you must upgrade the charging wire to a bigger size cable. Not to bad imo

I read on plowsite.com that napa sells a higher rated alternator like 200 amp one for approx 150 bucks. I was told that at idle it would charge minimally, but 1200 rpm it kicks in fully. Guy was working on a similar truck. I will post the link if I can find it.
Yup, mine took a dump last summer. Thank God napa had the parts to fix it on a sunday. Ended up buying just the bearing and pressing it myself but also bought a gm one to keep behind the seat just in case.
To further elaborate on Jamie's statement, the engine oil cooler is a major detriment to the egr cooler also. The eoc gets plugged and flow slows on it causing the egr cooler to get over heated.
I have one sitting apart here now that lost the egr cooler, no coolant lights came on and got hot...
The exhaust brake is the same function as we have been doing with efi live. It works very nice at least in my truck. As far as the rest, I am glad your happy. The brakes look awesome. I have to get out and drive on now. Good luck.
Eta, what is the lock pick on the nav?
Ed, look into the auto meter gauge pod that goes under the rearview mirror. I absolutely hate the gauges on the a-pillar. it blocks so much of the view especially at night the glare from the gauges is freekin annoying. I have the mirror mount 4 pod setup from auto meter and it works nicely. The...
I mounted my compressor behind the rear seat. I have a crew cab, but iirc there is plenty of room on the ec also. It keeps ti out of the weather and keeps it alive. Gauge and switch could go in a trippin mount from socal diesel in the over head console.
There is ways to do it, but your not really gaining that much for the cost. iirc someone here has dont it though so hopefully they chime in and offer there experience.
