This is a much better pic....Towing home the commuter:D
The shop cleaned up this morning and threw away the parts. :mad2: Just imagine a melted chunk of plastic and that is what the sensors looked like. I am just glad it is over, excuse me while I go pick aluminum cans):h.
As much as I would love to Pep, I have my lil sister coming in from Houston and she wants to take the kids to a parade. Believe me I would rather be there than watching a bunch of idiots going crazy over some 2 cents plastic beads. I will have the pics of the parts to post tonite.
update: I picked it up yesterday afternoon. While it was down I upgraded the EVO to the hot tunes. Loaded hot 2 and let it learn and woohoo. It pulls hard, the diff is night and day in how the power actually gets to the ground. The shifts are quite firm. In stock form I never felt it upshift but...
Uhhhh...no pm. try GMCYA next time ):h. I just got my truck back yesterday so hopefully I will have the decal tomorrow and can put it on this weekend. If you can do any flavor, I would also like one like this for the commuter.
I'd rather be driving my...
Now that I waxed it I will get a pic to post. I don't have any pic's of it hooked up, imagine that:rolleyes5:. Once you get the truck and trailer in the viewfinder it is kind of far back):h.
Maybe this weekend, I am supposed to get my truck back today.
Charlie, you get my last pm about cp...
Has anyone received their decal yet? My truck is still in the tranny shop so no big deal right now. I just want to make sure that I am the only one that has not gotten one in yet.
Will smaller sizes be available? I want to put one on my commuter car but from looking at the pics they seem quite...
Nice rig!
Must have taken a wide angle lens for the pic.
What is the actual length from end to end?
I like the direct access to the 1/2 bath from outside. No tracking up the floors when the beverages start to go down.
I can't believe how long some of the units are that you guy's drag...
I appreciate it but it is just a matter of getting all of the parts in at this point. I did not realize I would miss my truck this much. I can't wait to get it back, I just hope it is before the weekend. I will post the pics when I go pick it up. I am trying not to even think about it right now.
UPDATE 2/11
I just got back from the tranny shop to check out my alli. Poor girl is in bad shape. It seems this would not have been a simple DIY project. Picking out my converter out of the pile was easy, it was the one with rainbow/purple colors. It seems that she was a bad lil girl and got...
Local tranny shop ran by a guy well known in the racing industry now into funny cars and dragsters. He is the go to guy here around Lafayette. I already had the hard parts from suncoast but after thinking about it, I decided to let someone with experience do it instead of halfassing it myself. I...
25K? What is the cost of a plow setup?
I need to get them to list my truck. Before I decided to build my tranny I went look at trading it in. I took a 2K hit just for the tranny needing work and was offered 16K. My truck is a 06 CC with 57K miles. They darn near can not give the diesels...
At first I thought it was the sticking yoke problem like my 01 1500 :mad2:had until I remembered that the 1500 did that at when it came to a dead stop. The feel is about the same except that this is when the alli shifts to first while still slowing down and it was usually right after hard...
I ordered the hot unlock, 50 bucks WTH, if nothing else as a good selling point. The truck comes back tue or wed with a built tranny from Mr. Harry Clack's shop. My evo is sitting here on my desk just updated. Now I just need my truck back and a winning lotto ticket.
When pulling my camper in TH sometimes the 2-1 shift was noticeable to say the least, but not every time and not dependent on flat land or a grade. I just took it as the braking in TH.
