Nope, they are plastic covers. I was wondering the same thing until I looked at a buddy's truck... definitely plastic. And for the new bumpers... that is a big improvement over the current design.

Real "new" trucks don't have spark plugs. The S10 is a driver, the 67 is still a real truck because it's a classic, and the Datsun is just something to beat offroad and roll over on its lid.
