I bought the new batteries for the Maliblue and my truck from the chevy dealer.
I have heard enough stories about them off brands of batteries that, yup, you know it, cry once buy once.

Vacuum pump, if so equipped, check the vacuum on the suction side of the pump.
IDR how many inches of vacuum that the pump should be drawing, depending on altitude but I’m guessing at least 22 to 25 inches of vacuum.

Give the fuel pressure regulator adjustment screw about 1/4 of a turn.
Took the FP at the IP from about eleven or twelve to just under 15 PSI.
Now hope it dont go over 15 once on the road.

I will never again install a new set of injectors unless I send them to @Rockabillyrat and have them checked and adjusted to within as close a tolerance as He can get them.
I believe He is our resident professional on such as the injectors and manual injection pumps.

It destroys Your fan clutch but is a sure fired way of testing to see if the fan clutch has failed.
He advised me to drill a hole a little smaller than a sheet metal screw through the fan clutch, then install that sheet metal screw through the fan clutch, locking it...
Could also be the fan clutch not locking in like it did before so many miles.
You can do a test on Your old stats by hanging them on a string in a pot of water.
Heat the water and when the a stat falls from the string read a thermometer thats also hanging in the water.
1990 most likely an electronical speedometer.
Check that the electro/magnetical pickup thingabob at the tail shaft is producing voltage that allows the speedo to function.
Check for broke wires along the way between that thingy and the firewall.
