I would let them go over your spare and check it out See what it needs if anything and go from there. Flush the cooler out good and drop her in. Then whenever have the on you take out looked at. Provided your still only gettin a 93 code.
Sorry it sounds classic rebuild time to me.
There used to be a place down your way that I heard was real good. Pheonix trans. Dont know if they are sstill around or not that was 5-6 years ago.
Thiss TCC talk is very interesting. mine will stay in lockup until I hit the brake. It is a stock chip. BNMN. I think, not 100%. Which does help a little.
I have run B10 in mine for 4 years and no issues yet. That is about 60k miles at 14-15 mpg avg. Thats around 4k gallons.
Damn after figuring that I drive intirely TOO much. LOL
IIRC there was a long discussion here a little while ago about the ES engine mounts. Dont remember for sure what it is but there is an issue there. Part #'s aint right or something.
If you make the nose cone on the starter in the vice look like the other one it should be just fine. Thats what I did. Had the same prob you have....
Bolt the starter up and no crranky.....................
I had an issue with the one I had. The starter out of the auto had a larger alum. nose piece on mine. It covered lot more of the the gear. But a little trimming with a cut off wheel and it dropped right in. The nose was hitting the flywheel. The fly wheel was from a 97 6.5 and the starter was a 94.
Mid 90's is kinda goffy with the blazer/ tahoe/ jimmy/ yukon thing. IIRC in 94-95 you could get any of the 4 depending on options. After 96 they kept the blazer/ jimmy on the s series.
I think the law reads on farm plated CDL vehicles,,,,,,,,,if you are within 150 miles you dont need it. I am not 100% on this though but bout 80%.
Nice ride
Yep this is the way to go. I just got it myself and wish I would have done it 5 years ago when I bought the truck. burning oil (Leroy) here is also a dealer for GMCTDscantech.
Sounds like you got lucky with that one.
Mine has alittle whistle IIRC its a GM4 with homemade turbo master set at 12 PSI, 2.5" crossover, 3" downpipe, 3" to 4" increaser, 5' of straight 4" 90* turnout in front of the duals.
The most whistle Ive heard on a 'road' truck was my buddies 06...
Really..............well atleast he didnt say RuPaul.
As for a change in perf or seat of the pants driving..................not a big change. It definatly starts easier, and seems to be a little peppier but it does have 112,000 on her and she weighs almost 5k so I know she aint gonna get up...
Alright I got it. Once I cranked the pump to pass side the time set to set at +3.5 then i got the TDCO offset to +1.85. So then it was a SLOW process to get her back down.
And low and behold I got the elusive -1.94. and yes as stated before it is a dieselgasm when that little number pops up...
