If it is an early single thermostat crossover get a new coolant sensor that goes in the crossover. That is the low temp one that keeps the trans from going into OD until the truck is up to minium temp. I am not sure if the newer dual t stat ones have that or not.
Thanks I didn't see any options that where diff that is why I asked. Great to see them giving farmers a little break yall need it, hell we all do LOL!!!
The ecm/chip will need to be changed out going from an auto to a manual. Mine would not idle correctly when I swapped mine. There is a chart on here somewhere to match the pump/hp/gvw/trans/emmisions/etc for what you would need. IIRC some of the 95 you could change the chip instead of the whole...
Mine are down on the nut that is part of the stud on the block off plate with one nut on top. But I would say however it fits with the tube seated all the way to the lip in the trans.....
Do any of you know what if any differences there are between a 94 and 97 4l80E???
I am scrapping a 97 that has a recent rebuilt 4l80 in it, and I am in need of one for my 94. The only thing I see is the shift rod into the trans is longer to incoporate the nuetral safety switch. I am hoping to...
Check the grounds!! There is a good right up and pics in the stickies..
Heath told me one way to check the IP...Once its running and warm,,,,,,,,,slowy push throttle up to 2000 and hold it there for 30 sec. Then slowly bring it back down to idle. If it wont hold stead at 2,000 it is shot.
I would stay away form the dual mass........When I converted mine I put a single on the 94 with the internal slave. Never had any issue with those parts.
Had pressure plate come apart but that is a different story.
Yes I sent you an email with pics....They are not as nice as I thought they were. If you didn't get the email let me know I can resend it or post them here.
I have wondered this myself. As for #'s the ford pumps always had bigger cc's and such. Not sure why GM would not want this stuff. 6.9 and 7.3 is not that mush bigger than our 6.5s. And honestly there is really not that much difference between them.
Pretty sure I have at least 4 of them.. I will look this afternoon and get back to you. I think the will fit in a USPS flat rate box fro $15 or I can send out Fed Ex. NE Ohio is way closer than AK.
Different grades of tools is very common with al manufactures...Not 100% on big name battery tools but the ac voltage ones there are differences depending on where you buy them. DeWalt, Makita, Milwalkee, etc have diff amp ratings at least depending on where you get them. Home Depot, Lowes, Ace...
I mounted mine behind the grill on the passenger side, right by the cold air intake. I put the fins out, pmd towards the core support. I only used the pad that came with it. 3 months in NE Ohio weather and no issues yet.
Thats what that outfit out west (colorado IIRC) does when the drop a dmax in.
IIRC Ferm said that he saw where that would help but didnt want the lift.
