    Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

LOL backwoods pump. That's why your crew has seized pumps up, and have floating metering blocks, among many other undesirable attributes. I've seen the videos and posts. I've never locked a pump up, and I use the best machining techniques. I'm sure you will take note to my pictures and apply...

Taking your ball and going home huh? Trust me..... I've watched the threads around here. There is PLENTY of fighting without my presence. I thought the Ford forums were dysfunctional. You can blame this on your buddy OrionThade. He knew exactly what he was about to start with me.

Was the GM diesel not first designed for a passenger car? Was it not outfitted into hundreds, perhaps thousands of 1/2ton blazers and 1/2ton military trucks? You were in the military right? If so you spent some time in a motor pool I'm sure. How often do those 6.5's get driven? Road tested...

So which one does he have... 1000cc's or 270cc's? I gotta see this LOL You guys are a bunch of mouth breathers. I'm way too intelligent to buy into your pipe dreams and bench racing.

dangerous and stupid when you have a diesel designed for a delta 88 and 1/2ton blazer.

Here is the point you guys seem to keep missing though. I elected to go this far with my build. I didn't have to take it as far as I did to get those, but I did, because I don't cut corners. You act as if 300/650 is the peak potential of my engine... I'm simply running an injection pump that...

Paid $1500 for my truck, it came with a 5spd and I had to spend $1,000 on a clutch to hold the power. I already had a stereo to put into it, I had a friend do the paint/body work, another friend do the powdercoat.... and a friend of a friend doing my interior.... Guess I know some pretty good...

    Injector Nozzles

While this is completely true... Buddies statement still has some merit because the engines these pumps are used on on DI are usually: farm equip, generators, construction... ect. So they don't spend much time idling, or having to throttle through the power range. They are turned on, and stay...

Not really a whole lot of custom in my 6.9 itself. Just a rebuilt, re blueprinted, and studded engine. I shaved the pistons myself, I built the turbo kit myself, and I started the DB4 pump program. I dynoed those numbers with a version 1 prototype pump, which I was lied to about its actual...

    Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

There isn't really a ton you can do. If you didn't care about reliability and you just wanted as much fuel as you could possibly get out of it for a tractor puller or something... You could build the pump the same way I did, except with larger plungers, and remove the vane pump inside of the...

    Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

it starts life as an xx31 turbo pump. Gets a brand new DB4 head and rotor. Rotor gets EDM'd. Get a DM4 cam pin, EDM the advance piston and cam ring. Stick the cam pin on my lathe and machine a relief groove into it. Then pass it off to my pump guy who calibrates it to the specs we have come...

    Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

It will be very interesting to see what my engine does with another 14cc's of fuel, but what I'm really excited to see is what it can do with max fuel over 2300rpm. I'm expecting the results to be pretty significant.

    Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

You're just the only one that missed the boat I guess. Since you want my credible proof... you can sift through my 200k+ views, and 2600+ reply build thread: http://powerstrokenation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108058 I'm a blowhard? I was actually trying to keep my stuff out of this thread...

    Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

Buddy spelled it out perfectly while I was gone. The pumping mechanism/cam ring just isn't big enough to support it. A stock maxed out xx29 will do 72-75cc's. The more stroke you add, the more unreliable the pump gets, you either want to go to a 4 rotor, or larger plungers. However, this...

    Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

Ok, so give the details. Stop making me beat around the bush. What are the specs on the pump? Because as far as I have found... A) You cannot get 160cc's max fuel from an xx31 2 plunger B) Even if you could, there is no way you could hold it over 2,000 engine RPM, it would plunge greatly.

    Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

The last thing I read in this thread posted by him was about him using a DB4 head and rotor. Then I have seen claims of 160cc max fuel, 140cc, 110+cc over 3k. Being able to fuel out to 4500...

    Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

Really? I never said the vehicle was fictitious. I said his claims were outlandish. You seem stuck on the fact that he has bent rods.... its a 6.2, not a 6.9, 7.3 or 5.9.... its not a hard feat to accomplish I'm sure. I'm more focused on the fact that his magical DB4 can do 160cc's at full...
