When I shift my 4L60 into tow/haul, does that lock the converter up?? Feels like it holds the sifts out longer. DOes it prevent from going into 4th(od)??
No trailering package I assume?? The 1500 CC are not built on the same frame as the EC/RC, also have lesser in the braking dept too.
I hate these new unit bearings, why did they ever go that route??
Are the unit bearings on the HD trucks heavier built??
I have a clutch fan now, and DO NOT want a POS electric fan. That is a moot point. The only hauling I would do is what I do now, wood, corn, and tractor on the trailer. Looking at Property up North, so the tractor will need to make trips up there. Sure the 1500 Can do it, but when I replace...
Thankfully the 6.2L (Max trailer package required, but gets all wheel discs in Canada...YAY) Does not have cylinder deactivation, and I do not want it. One more thing to go wrong. My 5.3 does not have it now, and am happy with out it.
Naw, I was just razzing'. :)
I know of a few folks that own the 6.0, and say they like the gas, but do not know anyone with the 6.2L. Curious about the mileage. I know the 2500HD will weigh more, so that will have to be figured into the equation a little.
Are the transfer cases on the HD...
Yes both brand new. No older than 2011. Was going to EDIT and add the year to the original, but apparently you only have 5 seconds to do that... LOL :)
Both trucks being equal, 1500 Crew Cab, 5'8" bed, 4wd 6.2L 6 speed auto, 3:73 vs 2500HD 6' 1/2 bed, Crew Cab, 4wd, 6 speed auto, 3:73, 6.0, which one would get better mileage?? Or would they be comparable??
Sorta leaning towards eventually getting the HD, just for the longer bed. Would be nice...
Thanks. I am @ 235,000 KMS (146,000 miles) and followed the GM service intervals, had itflushed @ 150,000 kms by the dealer.
So, since the tractor is 2 years old, should be no harm in running the Cat ELC??
Wondering if anyone is running Extended Life coolant, with out any troubles?? Cat, SHell Rotella??
Need to do the coolant on a MF 1635 Compact, and wondered if anyone has run this in any diesel out there, any issues??
Bought an 8oz Bottle of Permatex Ultra with a brush on it, nice green stuff. Will last a long time.
The problem I was having with the Kleen-flo in the tube is that it would seperate in the tube, and no real way of re-mixing it again.
Bought new slider pins, new rubbers, did the brake service...
