    glow plug for 6.2/ 6.5

Batteries are less than a week old, 800CCA. I brought them inside and trickle charged them both, no change. Interesting thing I've noticed is that when hooking up the batteries, I don't get any sparking at the terminals which I think is unusual. Does that mean anything?

    glow plug for 6.2/ 6.5

This is the mess the PO left me with, starter cable, battery crossover cable and alternator wire join together on the top post, just looks poor to me and wondering how to go about fixing it. I replaced the battery ground on the drivers side battery with 2 gauge cable because it was the worst of...

    glow plug for 6.2/ 6.5

Update on my problem, I think now it's not a GP issue but a cable or starter problem. It's gotten worse and now The engine barely turns over at all now, here's a quick vid:

Does anyone else shift with no clutch?

I could do it either way on my 95 NV4500. Match the rpms and it would shift smooth as silk without the clutch. I didn't do it often though.

    glow plug for 6.2/ 6.5

Also, I haven't tried jump starting the truck. Maybe a previous owner did at some point, who knows. Guy in my apartment said I should use either, I said hell no, not on my diesel!! haha. I cleaned up all the grounds and battery connections. I feel like it's not turning over fast enough, but with...

    glow plug for 6.2/ 6.5

I agree that Kennedy has a solid reputation and I've bought from him before. But, I'm just not feeling lucky enough to gamble on those quick heats though, as WW said, John won't be there to help me get them out when/if they cause me grief. And I've read enough horror stories on the forums to be...

    Cheap Genuine Delco CDR valves

Hell yea, that's what I'm talking about. Thanks, Will! I Hate to push my luck but do you know the sizes of the rubber hoses used on this CDR setup? It looks like a convulated mess of adapters and different hoses and they are all seeping with oil so I'd like to replace the valve and all the...

    Cheap Genuine Delco CDR valves

Anyone have a source for the older style CDR on NA 6.2s? The one that plumbs into the oil fill. Thanks!

My firewall? Remove the foam insulation and recover with what? Dynamat?

    glow plug for 6.2/ 6.5

Just got off the phone with Kennedy, their plugs are made by WAP in the USA. They are self regulating. He assured me that they will not swell or break and that they never hear any problems with them. I need to order plugs asap, my truck is in my apartment parking lot and I'm stranded until I can...

    glow plug for 6.2/ 6.5

Looks like nobody's stocking the Bosch plugs anymore. Kennedy's are on sale, I'll have to ask him what brand and if they're self regulating. edit: Heath has the Bosch plugs but at double the sale price of Kennedy's I don't know.

    Going 50mph....then nothing.

Come to think of it, after I got the truck home I removed the case fill plug and fluid came out so it definetly wasn't run low. My 79 has a full time case, it's a heavy SOB!

    Going 50mph....then nothing.

Yup, my 95 did the same thing on the interstate going 70-75mph. Cruising along all is fine no funny noises, then bam i lost all power, only my case was a little different, my transfer case, the NP241, was stuck in 4 low and moving the shifter would not change it out of 4 low. 4.10 gears with the...

A Penninsular upper intake would top off that engine nicely. Very nice build!

Other 2002 Jetta TDI for sale

Most autos are rated higher HP and TQ that I know of but I feel it's only to account for the power loss through the slush box. And you're right, most people do prefer autos. I'm not one of them lol but I still recognize its usefulness.

    Bigger engine oil cooler

I've heard the same thing about some synthetic oils, I believe Rotella Synthetic diesel oil is one of them that isn't a true synthetic. One reason why I never cared much for Rotella or ever put it in my truck.
