I remember the Thrush Mufflers, they had the picture of the Road Runner on them. They sounded pretty good, my cousin had a 1973 Dodge Charger with the 400 Magnum engine, dual exhaust out the back, with Thrush Mufflers.

As a young Lad I had a V8 car that had headers on it with Cherry Bomb mufflers ran out the rear end. It was a pretty good noise maker....... 😄

The short answer to that question is probably not. Any GVWR changes would have to be by a qualified manufacture, if they actually do that, doubt it unless its some kind of conversion coach type vehicle. Not sure what state that you are in, but I did run across some interesting information...
