    Grading

5% means 6” across the 10’ width. I can get close to that.
  2. Big T

    Grading

Understood. I have a laser for that and property has a natural downward slope front-to-back.

    Grading

No French drains. They clog and roots grow in them.

    Grading

My math was wrong. 10% of 10’ (120”) is one foot or 12”. That is a lot and it would be impossible to pull off here. Distance from house to fence is 10’. Best drop I can achieve is 4” to 5” from house to fence.

    Grading

10% over 10’ would be 10” of drop. I am limited on the high side next to the house by the height of the foundations for the AC and Water Softener units. On the low side at the fence line I am limited by the neighbors slope to the fence line. I am not going to hog out more dirt along the fence...

I will check the manual, but I don’t believe it does.

I pulled the backhoe off to install the box grader. Controls for the backhoe go with it.

Not sure I have a float function. I have a 6-position lever to set the height and a locking stop to set the low position.
  9. Big T

    Grading

Yes it does. I am new to this, so all of these are good suggestions. I still won’t be able to do this between the ac unit and the gate, and between the ac unit and the water filters. Will be able to do it outside them and the section below them. This should make it a lot easier.

    Grading

Yeah I can see that, but I need to go all the way next to the house, so there will be hand work.

    Grading

Box grader has no angle adjustment to it. It sets a flat level grade.

    Grading

I need to grade a slope away from the house for code on drainage. I do not have an angle grader, but it would be impeded by AC and Water filters anyway. Suggestion was to screed it and roll it by hand. Also suggested that I install drain line first, then use the extra dirt to establish and...

    6.5TD motorhome starting problem

PowerMaster starter will take it from 9 seconds down to 3 or 4.

    Woods GB60 Box Grader

This one has five “teeth”. The center one does not stay in for some reason. I have to hunt for it now. I will need the ripper teeth to knock down high spots in the yard.

    Woods GB60 Box Grader

Got the box grader on and did a little bit of grading along side the house where the fence is out. I will need to build up a slope away from the house. Also need to get rid of that raised bed garden my wife had to have because she was going to grow stuff with the grandkids. They never had an...

My 93 having a mysterious tapping or knocking under acceleration that comes and goes

Those compression #s are bad. Some are almost 50% less than new. I would not throw any money at the core engine. Just run it locally until it grenades as Will L. described and call it a good life.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

The spare is still brand new. Should have been in the rotation but it’s on a different style aluminum wheel. The tread depth on that new tire is nowhere near the depth of a new Cooper AT3.

    96 timing issue possibly

You can get it out from the back. It has a bracket around the CPS. Bracket attaches to the block with one bolt. With age the plastic can soften and the bracket can detach. I would pry under the bracket while pulling the wires. If the bracket comes off, then just grab the CPS with whatever vice...
