Nice looking unit here the only downside for me is not having apple carplay or android auto. I prefer the apple carplay for using my phone's navigation, no need to upload / update maps on a standalone gps unit, also shows traffic conditions. many times it's warned me of slowdowns and wrecks...
I’ve got all of the old ones lined up per each cylinder they come out of. I’ll be putting them on the pressure tester tomorrow and see what they do.
I had already tried #6 and it popped off at 1500
Well it runs.... I had did a video of it running with my phone even revved it half way to the moon and back a couple of times but unfortunately for what ever reason my phone didn't record it. this new iphone 15 must not like me that well!
good news is it idles smooth and while revving it up...
It runs LOL. sounds a bit louder on the clatter but also seems to be running smoother. will have to run it on the road and see if injectors made a difference, but the rebuild seems to be successful.
Finished up rebuilding a set of injectors and got them installed. That went surprisingly too well! After removing the IP lines and getting them out of the way I was able to get all 8 removed and installed without having to pull the turbo!
I have all 8 old ones laid out on my bench to test...
Rebuilt the 4th injector. Dissembled it and found the fire ring was stuck. Finally got it out and I can see it was completely roasted! This is on another set I’m rebuilding for the 93. Opened up another on that’s varnished up to use for parts. Stole the fire ring for this one
So I can still do that but after doing injectors? I figured I’d get the injectors since I still have the intake off and it looks like I might be able get at the ones behind the turbo if I pull the IP lines back off without pulling the turbo!
Well I’m back at it. Working to rebuild a full set of injectors to go in the 93 truck.
The two I had already gone through I had to open up and clean up. The diesel had started to varnish up! Interesting I’ve never seen diesel varnish up that quickly before
Got those two knocked out fairly...
Welp, I guess I could attempt to remove the turbo. I will get the intake and all buttoned back up today, then see if I can get a set rebuilt and ready to go in. been wanting to do that anyway. idk the condition of the injectors that are on this engine or how long they've been on it. I...
Here is a forum post where a fella did this and posted some pics.

I suppose rebuilding some injectors are next on the list. though it's gonna be fun getting this turbo off to get at the passenger side.
I'm curious if an injector noise or knock can come and go like this and be mistaken for a lifter or knock.
my truck originally had those 4" oval speakers mounted up in the rear cab pillars behind the rear seat. I hated those things because a rear passenger had them up right in the ears! I think I remember reaching up in there and snipping the wires, pulling them back and out where I could fish them...
I can't find the details but they were 6.5" 2 way speakers I installed. I had bought a set of 4 kickers but if you want the best I recommend Rockford Fosgate 6.5". I believe I had to remove the metal mesh (can't remember that part) but I do recall I had to cut the plastic behind the speaker...
I put speakers in the 95. I will look to see what size they were. iirc there the same size as the front. I did have to fish some wires into the doors for them though.
