Sort of holding off to see what John wants me to try next to diagnose this problem.
I hope it doesnt involve reinstalling the pump.
His article on diagnostics kind of leads to a bad optic sensor.
IDK if I have the abilities to replace one of those.
I have read the instructions about that and it...
I wonder how safe it would be to install an IP and fuel lines, install right side manifold heat shield and turbo them take the truck for a drive before installing the lower and upper intake, inner fender and air filter.
Hope for no road debris to kick up ? ? ? ?
🫣🤷😹😹
Yup.
Got a reply back from John at QS.
In His reply He included this link.

It doesnt really match what My truck was doing.
Even with the SES lamp ignited acceleration was still good.
Then after getting to the rest area and clearing the code...
I’m getting good at yanking these IPs.
I didnt time it but I’m guessing about two hours and that included hauling the tools from the garage out to the boulevard and street side.
Yank that inner fender and turbo, pipes and manifold and that pump is setting on the bench, trying to get it ready to...
Yup. Brand new not remanned IP.
From where I first checked the code and sent out the distress call to the forum, the truck went to the rest area about five more miles down the road.
Pulled into the RA and rechecked and cleared the code.
Started the engine, fired right up, tripped the SES lamp...
Turbo on my truck runs at less than 5 PSI at highway speeds unless going upgrade.
If You are getting 10 PSI when not in OD then check the fuel mileage in OD and out of OD.
You might be better to run it in 3rd, or non OD just for the savings in fuel.
It would be nice to finally get an injection...
Get You a radiator/coolant system pressure pump.
Pump the system to the DATA spec PSI then look for the leeeeks.
Mine 2000 K3500 was loosing coolant and I could not find the source of the leeeeks.
Pumped it up and it was both the heater hose connections at the firewall.
Tightened those, then...
On my way to Sheridan Wyoming and then back to the cabin and the lake.
Made it about 25 miles and this DTC pops up.
I emailed QS Tuning a few minutes ago so waiting for a reply from them.
Cleared the code and it pops right back up.
Engine falters when it does but then picks up and runs like...
Get the exhaust manifolds, crossover pipe, gaskets and a decent turbo for the 6.5 engine.
I think it all should fit Your 6.2.
Since You dont have an ecm there should be no error codes to set so You can run a manual wastegate, just keep boost pressure at about 12 but not over 15 PSI.
The 1990 trucks and suburbans, blazers that were OBD1 throttle body injected, a lot of those had a tachometer.
IDK what it was that created signal for the tach ?
Maybe one of those dash or tach units could be made to work.
Might need the signal generator oil pump drive adapter to get signal for...
Cardboard was under the truck for about five hours.
There was not one drip or drop anywhere on any of the three pieces covering the ground under the truck.
Next journey is going to be over 300 miles round trip.
I have a very high in BTU rated furnace that my friend (like a son) is wanting and...
