Transmission difficult to go into gear only when cold

I'm going to refer back to this thread (http://www.dieseltowingresource.com/showthread.php?t=5670) as it is mentioned there as well. This only happens when it's cold outside, like 20 degrees and colder, or so it seems. The truck starts fine, but putting it into any gear, it's nearly forceful...

NSB Switch failing or electrical connectors?

Result of the no-start was a bad connection to a ground apparently according the dealer, although I could never find it. That's why I was getting erroneous readings on dashlights and such. Electrical gremlin I guess. Thanks for all that responded.

    belt length

I ran across gmpartsdirect.com and they mentioned belts for 105, 130 and 145, but no mention of length on any.

    CPU Usage Spiking

I agree COMPLETELY with JiFaire! Good point. An online scanner will be able to scan, confine and more than likely clean your system. If you're comfortable with things, try cleaning out your prefetch folder before you reboot, all temp files/folders and other items. Take a visit to your add/remove...

NSB Switch failing or electrical connectors?

Well, I gave up and put the truck in the shop on Wednesday morning. Haven't heard anything from them yet because of the holiday weekend but they said I will have something Monday morning regarding the issue.

NSB Switch failing or electrical connectors?

shortcircut, will definitely take a closer look tomorrow. It's supposed to be cold and raining, of course, I'll be wet, but I'm taking the day off to try and resolve the issue. Will try what you said about shifting it manual and let you know when I've tried it what the result is. At this...

NSB Switch failing or electrical connectors?

Well, if I had any hair left, I'd have pulled it out by now. The last few days I've had some pretty cold weather (15F degrees or so) in Watertown, NY. I noticed that my shift lever would shift into gear with a little bit of effort. Yesterday morning, I went out to the truck, started it right...

    tail light problems

Well, you're probably going to want to try the socket. Then on the other end if you have no power. If you DO have power on the board end, you're wiring is jacked. This is only an assumption, but will definitely narrow it down to your wiring. I'm no expert by any means, just a tinkerer. I'm sure...

    tail light problems

probably sounds simple, but did you check it to see if it's getting power with a circuit tester? Could be a wiring issue if it's not, or... ?

Week ago I modded my air intake box - Results posted

Update: Before: I averaged 16.5 mpg After: I now average 18.7 mpg My style of driving didn't really change that much, I tried to drive the same. Either way, it still improved it, even the slightest bit though. I'm happy!
