I did blow a heater hose last summer and drove it for about a mile before I could get off the road and out of traffic. It pegged the temp gauge by the time I realized what had happened. Besides the heater hose, I did replace the water pump and fan as well.
Hello, I have begun to notice a small amount of blow by on my 1996 2wd. It has 218,000 miles, all original internal. Have upgraded and modified a few bolt on parts and pieces for the outside. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks.
Here is the pick ticket from the boot I received in December from Bull Motors in Wynne, Arkansas. Unfortunately, it was the only one that they had. My local GM dealer found this one and one other, but I don't have any information on that one.
I just upgraded my water pump and fan this past summer as well as relocated my PMD module to the inside of the bumper. I got all the parts through Leroy diesel, and have not been disappointed. My truck is now running about 20 degrees cooler.
Similar situation, I replaced the throttle pedal sensor under the dashboard. Mine had just gone to idle speed with no acceleration. Could get it back if I shut completely off and re-started. Once I replaced it, no longer an issue.
Discovered that the inner insulation boot was torn into 3 pieces. Finally found the 1 of 2 in this country! A Chevy dealer in Arkansas. Hope to have back together in a week or so. amazing how much engine noise comes up through that boot.
Finally got my truck back, new bell housing made a massive difference! I think they forgot to put the insulation back in the shifting boot. Very loud engine noise, could there be/is there insulation there?
