There was no restriction in the plastic tee removed.

    Rear heat and ac lines.

Replaced my rear heat and ac lines. Deleted the quick connects. Lubed the hose with some transmission fluid and heated the hose with a heat gun to soften the rubber. Once I got it over the hump in the aluminum line it went fine. I looked at the connects with a Barb but they’re still plastic and...

    Crossover donut gasket.

Ring left behind came out in 2 seconds. Time consuming part was using a stone in drill to clean up enough for donuts to seat. Would have been better when I had it out but it wasn’t bad in the truck.

Already did two broken bolts. Drilling them out and tapping threads. Used studs instead of bolts.

    Crossover donut gasket.

Wow thanks for the replies everyone! Much appreciated. I will use an air chisel to try and hammer it out. The pictures really helped because I thought it slipped into a channel of some sort. I can cave it in on itself and get it out with channel locks or vise grips. Thanks again!

    Crossover donut gasket.

Ok I get how they work now but I’m afraid to try and pull them out. might make more of a mess then just leaving them. Looking at them out of the truck I would have never guessed they were separated.

    Crossover donut gasket.

Hello everyone! I ordered crossover donut gaskets for my 99 suburban. The old gaskets are flat on the bottom and have a wire mesh inside. All the gaskets I look at on line and in the store have a metal ring inside.

    Main bearing caps.

So my 506 block has the two different size holes for the main studs, but my caps have same size larger holes. Are these the wrong caps for this block?

It’s been slow. Still don’t have my motor out. It seems to rain every time I’m off. I did find another short block. It’s a 506 from 97. Nothing special I know but it appears crack free so I got it. Man told me it was magna fluxed so I trusted him. Block was honed and cleaned crank was polished...

    Rocker arm retainers

Ok the nylon washer was too wide. Wedged in the rocker. So I chocked it up in my drill and sanded it down to the dimensions of the original button. Fits good and has the same play as the rocker that came out. I will say these washers are tough and didn’t sand easily. Didn’t use the washer on top.
