O OK. No it was sitting for about 4 months and I needed to make sure it wouldn't freeze that's when I started working on it. I started it up and let it circulate coolant that's when I noticed it pushing oil. I will be getting a drive line in it after Thanksgiving.
Something else that came up I...
It isn't in yet neither is the oil cooler just know that's where there going. My plan is to run a 4" tube through the core then the filter. The intercooler piping already took a lot of the space on the right.
Update. The turbo decided to leak oil into the intake and exhaust. I overhauled the turbo and decided to ceramic coat the turbine and the heat shield to keep the heat out of the center section. I also made the battery tray. The battery is going under the right side of the bed. I will be using...
Well I had a little problem with it so far I kept getting the code 35. When engine was running the PMD wires were hot and it shut down when they were moved. I got a new PMD so I know it was good the extension harness is one of the ones you buy for remote mounting the PMD. My fix was I ran 18ga...
As far as the ECT temperature it is reading right on the data out of the ECM. I think NVW is on the right track on the prom being wrong. I will check at work tomorrow and see what GM can get for a prom.
NVW you might be right as I have no idea what pump was on the truck I got the ECM from. The chip just has BD Diesels part numbers on it. I did email BD Diesel and gave them the part number but they said they cant find any info about it. I do have the 4 letter code on the ECM case it self BJAX.
I was watching the temp out of the ECM not the gauge. I figured the ECT sensor was good since it goes to the correct water temp as I verified it with a thermometer.
I am having a problem with this engine. Some of you might know about my build on here (68 c10 6.5t). The problem I am having is it runs like crap if the ECT is plugged in. When the ECT is unplugged the computer says -35 deg and runs good at idle only. If you plug it back in the computer says the...
No gas flywheel on this engine. I have solved the starter problem for good. I investigated why it was slipping and found it was only engage on the very end of the teeth. I have the rear starter support and right bolts but still only touches the ends of the teeth. I had a buddy mill 1/8" of the...
