not to tug at your heartstrings but i love the sound of the 8V92 in this vid. Always loved the 2-stroke jimmy sound.

N/A injectors are set for ~1,800 psi. Turbo injectors are set for ~2,000. You can tell what they were set for by looking at the injector body. A red plastic "ring" around where the 2 halves thread together means it's a turbo set injector.
Kenny i love the look of the old Generals. Top it off that it has a screaming jimmy in it, and it's perfect. Only thing you need is a Smokey and the bandit 2 paint job, and the signature trailer. :rof:
Have a feeling you'll find the Brass and Copper radiator to be built better. The aluminum core/plastic tank rads are throwaways. The copper/brass can be repaired 90% of the time. I wouldn't run a plastic/aluminum in place of a Copper/Brass rad.
Not to mention soldered on tanks on the...
I too have been debating one for my K-5 just because the air intake is fairly close to the turbine housing. I'd think they'd help lower under hood temps.
I know when i wrapped part of my exhaust due to it heating up the non-insulated floors after a 15 mile drive in stop and go traffic i can...
His own website contradicts his product. It's just like "new and improved" it's one of the other, not both.
And as far as my opinion, I wouldn't use SSD injectors if I were paid to run them. May sound harsh, but that's how i feel.
Don't skimp on injectors, because it will bite you in the...
The last DB2 i got from them that was "rebuilt" ended up having a skipping very lumpy sounding idle after less than 8,000 miles. Pump wasn't super expensive, and i trusted the guy i got it from, but it still turned out to be junk. Pump still looks new, but the engine ran like $h!t.
Give...
8.2 as in the "fuel pincher" 8.2?
It's not worth it IMO. The injectors in that engine are a really strange design, and the tool to properly time them has been out of production for years. You can't get the tool anymore, so unless your guy has one, you'll never be able to set the injection...
Compression on the 6.2 was ~21.5:1. give or take .1-.2 of a point. Compression on early 6.5s was the same. Later on in it's life the compression dropped about a point to ~20.5:1, again give or take .1-.2 of a point. That's not a huge difference. 21.5 to 18 is a huge difference.
At least...
4 bolt vs 6 bolt? I'm guessing you mean the fan mounting to the clutch? My 9 blade fan clutch is a 4 bolt hub to the water pump, as is my 6 blade stocker, and my 6.2. The hub on my 6.2(v-belts) is smaller, to the bolt holes of the 6.5 fan do not line up with studs on the 6.2 v-belt water...
Orrum with your truck being a 91 he should be able to use the reverse rotation fan the 6.5 uses.
Go with Barry's suggestion.
However.
If it's a v-belt engine you cannot use the 6.5 fans as they are designed to be installed on the reverse rotation water pumps, which means the fan spins...
The only thing that would bother me now is if you go through a huge puddle that intake looks like a prime candidate for getting water in(engine suction can pull water straight up).
Granted i'm running a similar setup on my K-5, but at the same time it's not that low down, and it also has a...
Hope you got a good bit for it. That truck was clean.
oh BTW stop selling shit you enjoy driving. Remember the tahoe? I wouldn't have sold that rig unless i was offered a ridiculous price tha twould've been stupid to turn down.
Cut a fram open then cut any other quality filter open. Odds are you'll never use a Fram again.
The problem is that places like Walmart and other high volume stores want to sell the filters for $2-$3. You can't build a decent filter for that price, but the buyers(big corporations) don't...
Just remember that on the old mercedes diesels the IP was lubricated by the engine oil. It didn't much care what it was pumping. On the 6.2 the IP is lubricated by the fuel, which mean fuel flows throughout the entire IP. If you swap from a relatively thin fuel like diesel to a thick fuel...
