I got stuck in my own damn driveway thismorning because my 4wd wouldn't engage. When I press 4hi there is an audible click outside the truck, the 4hi light flashes and service 4wd comes up on the DIC. I'm thinking the actuator is frozen, it's 3F this morning.
Any thoughts?
If you have a DPF, you need to run CJ-4. If you don't, you can but there are better solutions.
Synthetic 10W-30/SAE 30
Heavy Duty Diesel Oil (ACD) will work fine.
I keep hearing this from many different people, I guess I'm just lucky to live in a place with enough hills to need 4wd & a g80 to get out of my driveway with more than 2" of snow on the ground.
Oh well, I guess you could build a fire underneath it first, that's what the old guy down the road used to do to start his frontloader in the winter when I was growing up.
