Fuel and lubricants are two completely different animals, especially since the ULSD change. I do recommend a fuel additive, I do not recommend an additive for lubricating oil, trans or hydraulic fluid.
Algae is definitely a concern with fuel system health.
When the vine matures, they have white berries. 'Leaves of three let it be, berries white take flight.'
And NEVER burn this stuff. The oil will go airborne.
