We had 6 Freightliners at work that all had the air operated drum brake either on the tail of the trans or the front of the differential, all were hydraulic 4 wheel disc brake trucks. They were unreliable and we had several episodes where the brake didnt hold. Sometimes it was just out of...
I think they already had a service bulletin about it in very cold climates. Places like Alaska and Canada had cold enough weather that the stock heater was insufficient.
I pulled a front bumper sensor off an 04 Yukon at work, you could see the sensor was swelled up and it was covered in the white powdery corrosion you see on battery terminals. Other than the ridiculous $94 for the new one it was a pretty simple fix.
We have had 2 of these on trucks at work that were frozen up so bad I had to cut them off and replace the whole hoist assy. Its a piss poor design for us up here in the rust belt, if you dont take the spare down and grease the secondary latch at least once a year it will seize up.
There were 2 sizes needed, both were contained in the plasitc kit that I had. After putting a little PB blaster on them I got them off okay. The biggest PITA was getting the filler neck off and then back on. I had to pull it off at the fill door and then drop the original tank with the hose...
Great, I have 2 set of those and the steel one with the 2 piece collar and handle.
I am seriously looking forward to dropping that thimble sized 26 gal tank.
Thanks.
Anyone know if the release tool needed on a 05 Duramax fuel tank lines is similar to the gasoline type ? I want to make sure I have one before my new tank arrives.
I replaced the diode in my 99 becasue it broke/blew when the wipers were frozen to the windshield. I would be willing to bet that the motor is fried and overloading it.
We slept 6 people in a small pop up when I was a kid and my wifes family tented a lot. Now we are on our 3rd trailer, an Outback 32BHDSLE. We have pulled it to FL several times and went as far as Yellowstone with it last year. I cant imagine life without it even though we dont get to use it as...
Its all very subjective and the place is very spread out. My personal favorite is the 1700 loop. Its the least expensive of the full hook up loops (water, sewer and electric) and my favorite of the 4 loops in that price category (loop 1600-1900). We were in 1710 last time and it was very big and...
I dont spend any time on the DIS anymore. I wasnt involved in it directly but one of the webmasters pissed on the campfire (very long story) some nasty things were said that I knew first hand werent true so I took my marbles and went home.
We did have plans for Christmas again this year but I...
I got the injector the other day and replaced it, all is well now, truck runs like it should.
I will say that there is no way that fuel line is coming off without a crows foot 17mm. I soaked the assembly down twice with breakaway the week before and it was still tough to get off. Everything...
