With the 225/75 I first had on the 19.5 wheels the mileage did go up. BUT, I had too much wheel well showing and decided to get the 265 tires. Then the mileage went down. Too much rolling weight. Then I added a bunch of mileage maker stuff and it went back up. WMI and Propane.

After lots of reading and thoughts of doing an engine swap I got the parts. In a few months I will remove the 250 in line 6 from my 81 2 wheel drive short box and replace it with a 6.2. Rebuild the A833 trans in the process and have a good driver that will get good mileage. Thanks to Missy...

I believe I will be stuck with this beast for a while longer! A Todd rebuilt 6.2 with 6.5 heads and Bill's towing cam will work just fine. Still use the WMI and Propane. Hopefully the 6.2 engine swap to the 81 should go well.
