NOOOOOOO!. I just saw what you mean in a store the the other day. I DID NOT use the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. What I used is a rubber wheel that mounts on a drill. You can only buy it at an automotive supply store. Please do not confuse the two.
Come to Miami, these are the worst drivers on the planet. Signals? Never. Speed limit? Ha! Being in a turning lane? EVERY lane is a turning lane! I've driven in New York traffic my whole life, but Miami gives a whole new meaning to road rage.
I just axed my body moulding that refused to hold a coat of black paint. I used about 6' of 80# fishing line to saw the mouldings off. Came off pretty easy. Then I used a "magic eraser" wheel to get the adhesive off. That thing works wonders. All I have left to do is clay bar the residue, but...
I have the same problem with my truck. Three bad New York winters made my frame look like dog ****. The only thing I plan on doing is wire brushing the bad spots and hitting them with undercoating. When I got down to FL I used an entire can of WD-40 on everything to help slow down any progress...
Well, I went and did it. My buddy has a Yamaha TTR-125 sitting in his garage. I've been trying to get it to run right after it was sitting for three years. Two carb cleanings later and a new plug and the thing still has a bad stumble. Anyway, I finished doing some work on my truck, and was...
Don't bitch about crotch rockets going to inexperienced riders. That kind of talk is the thing that causes legislators to pass ridiculous laws that effect everybody. While I do believe in way more involved and staggered licensing system, the ultimate responsibility is with the rider himself...
I disagree. Dirtbikes tend to react a lot quicker that streetbikes. I have found that most of the best street riders I know started out on dirtbikes. Once you learn to react instantaneously to changing conditions, it's far easier to concentrate on traffic.
Testosterone has a tendency to make guys do dumb ****. I had a rookie on a ride that insisted on passing me every chance he could. I was purposely taking it easy because there were two other rookies with us. Finally I had enough and turned up the wick a bit. Well at the first hard right, rookie...
Do you have any experience? Do yourself a favor and find a used XL650 or KLR650 and find some dirt trails. Hone your skills in the dirt for a few months, dirt hurts a little less than asphalt. After that, take a motorcycle safety course. Start riding with a friend that has a few years under his...
Owning a motorcycle is a lot like owning a firearm or a pitbull, you better make sure you know what you're getting into. I personally take great offence when I hear someone say "organ donor". It irritates me more when the person saying it has never swung a leg over anything with a motor. Granted...
