For Dashboards needing repair

Personally I wouldn't bother if it has a crack already. To me that indicates the rest is not far behind
The crack is not in the normal places at the screws on top, which tells me it cracked there from something impacting it. I watched the video on removing it and it’s something I could do in about an hour.

Or I can wait on pricing from LMC:

Thats going to be a mighty nice unit:
The one that they show at the end of the video is a mighty fine looking dash.

Yeah- too thin for the repairs.
The glue on covers by for the top only are ok if you get the good ones, but it does nothing for the face. Then the problem comes in when you have to remove them for repairs to other components where removing is required.

Get a new dash, buy once cry once. Get a descent dash cover or do the clear windshield tint to stop the heat from cooking it- again the higher price stuff works way better for fighting heat & uv. The difference is are you selling it in a couple years or keeping it long term.
You’re right, get a new dash. My recent off-road camping effort have the existing dash breaking apart. I priced the aluminum one and it’s $2,000. Waiting for the pricing on LMC’a replica that they reportedly have started production on. If it’s priced like their ‘94 and earlier replica dash for $450, I could buy 4 for the price of the aluminum dash.

The dash skin overlay was a waste. It has already cracked. The tab receivers for the dash bezel are breaking apart on the dash side.
