I own a service shop and my diesel customers usally change fuel filters every other oil change. which equates to about 8 to 12 thaousand miles. I always run wix or napa gold, which is made by wix also.

well i was thinking about this all and went and drove it around the block again. i must have a boost leak, if u get on it u can hear a strong hissing noise coming from what sounds like the drivers lower corner which would indicate maybe a leak on the intercooler boot. this wear issue with power...

dont have any scan tool that will do it. sorry

well the answer to this problem will likly fix mine to. Mine had a knock in it and was getting fuel in the oil. i replaced the pass. side injectors and now it sounds good but not a very linear power curve and to much smoke under throttle non at idle seems like a boost problem

i just installed bill heaths water pump and noticed the impeller difference i didnt see anything else the matter tho it all seemed to fit nice what makes the newer ones balanced flow?? i figured that impeller differince was most on it Just a thought
