i did the search thing and couldn't find wether or not a crossover pipe from a 94 -2000 will fit my 93? can't seem to find one specific for a 93. looking at the one from Our Deals Rock on ebay. bought their downpipe and the fitment was excellent.
thanks, Tom
here is my similar set up. i just used the factory 90 i know it isn't the smoothest but it was cheap. the filter could be changed to a longer one if one chose to, which i may do later.
but the truck runs better and you can hear the turbo sing.
what if your truck spends more time in the driveway than the highway. i am currently using rotella synthetic, but i would be lucky to put three 3500 or so miles on my truck, how long should i wait to change and will the synthetic matter?
yeah i am not sure that i will stick with the synthetic very long. it sure starts easier and seems to stay cleaner. i might try a new turbo intake boot with new clamps. idk
it is not a standard hose clamp but it isn't a very heavy duty clamp either. has anyone else experienced this from either uping their boost or switching to the synthetic oil?
the clamps may be loose i tightened them with a nut driver, but they are just regular old hose clamps. there has always been a little oil coming from there, but i noticed today that they was al little more thn normal. i am just wandering if the extra boost and the thinner oil could have...
recently i changed to the rotella synthetic and increased my boost to 10psi. now i notice that i have been getting more oil coming out the turbo to intake boot. i assume the oil is from the recent changes, am i thinking right or do i need to do some inspecting elsware. also don't know the age...
yeah the downpipe is straight towards the back of the truck and it is in fact 3 inch which worked great for me cause my exhaust is 3 inch as well. i just butted the two together and used an exhaust strap style clamp and voila. oh and the downpipe has plenty of clearance as well. i would deff...
air filter is done, downpipe installed, and home brewed turbomaster completed. took it out for a test drive and deffinent improvement. got about 11 pounds of boost and you can hear the turbo sing, music to my ears. the air filter i bought a 6 inch long piece of 4 inch aluminum pipe and a 4...
its not a k47 but it did only cost me $42.00 bucks, i haven't driven with it yet but i imagine it will do just fine. the filter came with a shroud that goes almost half way around the filter to help block some of the underhood heat.
yeah i don't pull a trailer to often, if we go on long atv trips we pull the trailer with the ole lady's escalade anyways (more room). i think i will get the downpipe and the air filter in then drive it to see the difference and then bring it back in and do the wastegate and turn the pump up...
