My transmission selector was getting stiff. Recently I had a 10 day business trip to Albuquerque and left my Sub at SeaTac airport. When I came back the shift lever was very tight. This morning while trying to get it in gear...it snapped off. It is Dorman Part
#905101, but the piece that this...
I am thinking that is the way to go. I did rig up a tee with left over parts last night so I can drive it. I went to the local stealer this afternoon and they want $68.00 each for the short hoses and the tee's. They are not available separately. Oh yeah and 10 day delivery from the USA...
I ship all my parts to Ship Happens in Sumas Wa...Costs $5.00 for them to receive it then you can walk across the border and pick it up.
Works good if you live in the Lower Mainland.
If you think 6.5 parts and spendy in Canada, try buying Porsche parts up here....ouch.
Hey all,
Had a antifreeze leak in my Sub, and finally found it. The rear heat tee was dripping when I shut down the engine. Like a dummy I touched it and it broke. Hopefully the cat that has been walking on my Porsche will find some...Anyway I need the part number for the plastic tees as I have...
I had a '95 before my Suburban. The previous owners mechanic installed a switch on the CTS for cold starting. I sold the truck to a guy to haul a Corvette back from Chicago...he left the day after he bought it. I got a call about 2 days later, he could not get it started just outside of...
Watch your egt and temp and you will be fine. Remove your grill and clean out your radiator before leaving...I-90 route is good till South Dakota that I know of.
Went there last year with my brother..I had my Dodge and 1130 Lance...he was driving a 1981 Blue bird wanderlodge 3208 CAT NO...
Hey guys, yes I know this is not engine related but it is hard to find good information on our trucks. Is anyone running an in dash Nav system in our vintage? I am not as concerned about sound quality as ease of use for the Nav and Bluetooth...Travelling lots in unknown territory...do not really...
I bought 4 actuators for my Sub from amazon.com...they were $35.00 each.
Dorman brand I believe...The rear door actuator is the same as the passenger doors...I did take one apart and clean the inside and re-assemble one but it only lasted a few months.
Hey guys, anyone know the part number for the stock 1999 6.5 oil drain plug and gasket? The one on my '95 was different than this one. It is magnetic and the gasket fits inside the flange nut for a good seal. Also need the number for the plug seal as well. Thanks
Long story short, just got my burb back from the body shop and new bumper has hole in it where the spare tire would be lowered on a pick-up. Can't remember if old one did or not. Anyone got a picture?
Had some gravel delivered today for my lower garage driveway. The driver managed to get stuck in some soft stuff. We dug for a while, then I decided to use the Suburban to pull him up the driveway. Told my 15 year old son to get a couple of chains from the trailer, and chained the Kenworth to...
I removed mine from my 1999 Sub and replaced with a Warpspeed. No noticeable change, no lower egt's, although the stock pipe on mine was not very squashed at all and single wall. My 1995 k1500 had a bad squash in it. It was a worthwhile changeout on the k1500 not so on the Sub...IMO
